Hello, Thanks for your review. I have the possibility of getting 2 of this devices. To get extra wifi coverage in my home, do you think I can follow your connection guide for the 1st one and just plug in the 2nd one and use it as wireless access point? They should be able to communicate with each other right?
Hi, is this reliable, durable, with great performance and no latency issues? Would it be good to act as a router to replace my Virgin Media Hub 3 which I want to put in modem modem mode? Does the AX3 have better components, range and performance than the Hub 3 or Hub 4? How is the security and privacy of this router? How many devices can the single and dual core hold up to maximum theoretically and does this drop in speed like the Hub 3? I notice there is no USB port on this router, is that a problem? Can we run VPN or OpenWRT on this? Could I theoretically plug this into my ISP Hub 3 in modem mode, use it as my main router and WIFI, then plug additional AX3's into the main AX3 and use it as a wireless access point? Is there a WebApp that i can use to manage the router portal or is it only an app? Would this be better than the budget TP-Link, Netgead, Belkin, Tendas or D-Link routers out there and if so, why?
Hi. I was wondering what package of wifi you bought from unifi because mine, apparently, is only 30 Mbps. Do you need a stronger wifi package for the router to be stronger or the router just increases your wifi speed even if you have a 30 Mbpspackage from unifi. (btw amazing and informative video.)
Hey there, thanks for the comment. This router is definitely beneficial even if you're using 30Mb/s internet - particularly in power efficiency and better load-balancing when there are many devices connected to the router. If you have a lot of file transfers in your local network, then yes - WiFi 6 is truly beneficial. Other than that, mostly not particularly useful.
@@NasiLemakTech Thanks a lot. There's another question. Would this router be good if your internet is slow. For example, if I were to get a 100Mb/s package from unifi but have barely 10Mb/s, because I just found out my router is a Wifi 4 (802.11n). Do you still think I should get this.

Thanks! And I suggest you to stay away from buying this router directly from China. The firmware is totally different from what we've shown here. There's no way to download the firmware from Huawei's website to flash it too.
Yes, I found it that we need to use China as region in app to make it work and in India our isp directly orders from huawei or tp link . For India it is not a problem but I don’t know about others
That's because your ISP has custom firmware tailored for your ISP alone and made to work in India. Even Malaysia is the same, but imported routers don't have the tailored firmware.

Suitable for unifi 800mbps? Can my note20 ultra recieve full download speed?
In theory while connected to the 5GHz network, yes
Is there sim slot available in the router?
Nope. Not compatible with SIM card
@@NasiLemakTech then i should need a wifi subscription?
That was fun! The difference between AX3 and AX3 Pro?
Ah that's a fantastic question. The AX3 is a dual-core version whereby the AX3 Pro is the quad-core version - the one that was shown in this video.
For some reason, Huawei thought it's a good idea have different names for the same product. 🤷♀️🤷♂️
so it is safe to say that if the ax3 is quad core it is a pro? i have seen versions that is a quad core but no Pro in the packaging.
if it doesnt support sim card then how do we get internet ? sorry silly question never buy a router before
No worries! We're here to help the best we can.
This router gets internet through the internet broadband from telcos. And no, it doesn't have SIM card support. Other routers do have SIM card support, though.
@@NasiLemakTech so the main function is to amplify the internet connection and stability of the broadband telco is it ?
Not exactly. It's a necessary "gateway" between the telco's internet service and you so you can use it.
@@NasiLemakTech phone signal as well ?
Is there a simcard slot where I can insert sim?
Nope. This router doesn't have any SIM card slot
@@NasiLemakTech how do I load these device?
you like so happy
Yes! Finally got a proper, good router to upgrade from our office's horrendous router.
Hi! Love your vids. Hope you make a video for realme x3 superzoom.
Thanks for the comment!
Will try to get one. But the next phone review video will be on the Poco F2 Pro instead ✌
Just got that phone yesterday, still doing my usual round of tests on it.
@@NasiLemakTech looking forward of your review with Poco F2 Pro. 👍🏻

What better? Huawei ax30pro or tp link ax50
I believe the tplink will be better in terms of the firmware features
This question is not easy to answer. If yo uwant more advanced features then go get the TP Link AX50 instead. More LAN ports and has a USB port too, alongside will well-known reliability and updates.
If you just want something simple, then get the Huawei AX3 Pro.
need more this video TQ~
We just filmed the video for this router's full review. Will be on UA-cam next week!
My huawei ax3 can't configure
What's country are you there?
Malaysia right?
Yes, Malaysia.
@@NasiLemakTech so what's your region in Huawei ai life app. I'm living in Thailand but the router is not available in Thailand region.
@@NasiLemakTech my app on my phone could not detect the router...i believed that's what Tanakon is asking as well...whats the country/region setting u have on your ai life app? and what phone are u using? (huawei?)
@@wongfooksing I used a Xiaomi Mi 9 to set up the AI Life app actually.
I think the setup process is completely different if you're buying it from China.
Dos it support a simcard?
Nope
Does it take a sim card?
Nope
Need to ask : how to configure/setup vlan in AX3 to cater for Hypptv box? Is the vlan config auto assigned or do you need to get it from unifi? Thanks for advice...
Yes, from what I can find out, you'll have to login to the browser menu and tune it from there. There's a setting in the "network settings" menu to enable IPTV.
@@NasiLemakTech Orite.. thanks... will give it a try... want to avoid any screw-ups or will be a pain to configure the whole thing having to go through unifi again
Malaysia model has all the local settings provided.
How to check broadband acc & password on unifi??
Call them to ask
Sorry for my stupid question.
Can I set up my huawei ax3 with an IOS device?
I can’t find the app
Or should I set it up with mi pc ?
That's not a stupid question - quite good actually. I'm not sure if that app is available on iOS.
If it's not available on the Apple App Store, then I think just setup using your PC
NasiLemakTech alright thanks for the fast answer
Then I’ll proceed to purchase this one.
You rock. Won a new subscriber.
Thanks - truly appreciate it!
You can also use your phone to navigate into the web interface to set it up
Why my rubbish unifi router connect with dsl cable but yours is wan cable?
DSL?
The "WAN cable" is just like any other typical LAN cable, but plugged into the port called "WAN".
... DSL phone line plugs into modem!
Bro how to change dns?i cant find the setting
Hmmm... you're right. From what I've checked, there's no method for custom DNS.
Let me address this in the upcoming full review video.
@@NasiLemakTech Go to Connecting to Web and choose the ethernet option to set your DNS
@@limseehong Ah! Thanks for pointing that out!
Can we use ppoe connection on it .
Yes you can. We use PPoE actually.
Brought one from eBay . Thanks for the reply
Does it support up to 500Mbps Unifi?
Yes. It can.
@@NasiLemakTech would probably give it a test once i can source one. Hopefully a local rom. Currently using Asus RT-AC1200G+ (iirc) with a maximum cap speed at 300mbps (due to Ethernet support) but only getting a speed of 100mbps.
Hmmm... from what I know, Gigabit Ethernet had been around for a very long time. That router does have Gigabit Ethernet for sure.
If yours is capped at 100Mb/s then it could be the LAN cable issue instead.
As for the router, are you buying it from China?
@@NasiLemakTech nope. Local Pc store Asus router. When i 1st bought it perform nicely. But after awhile things started like this. No matter how i tweak or upgrade and reroll firmware, highest were 100mbps.
I'm still suspicious about the cable. Could be a defect in the router after some wear and tear, but seems rather unlikely.
Hi bro, how to configure the connection to hypptv box?
There's an option for IPTV in the menu. Only accessible via web, though.
We'll talk more about that in our full review

When u may plan to upload, thanks, good show👍🥇
I facing the issue. Pls help
does it support repeater mode?
Yep, even supports mesh mode too if you have multiple of this router.
@@NasiLemakTech THANK YOU SO MUCH , I just ordered it
Hi bro, does ax3 router support QoS?
Yes it does
@@NasiLemakTech its support qos both version? dual core and quad core?
I don't have the other version with me to reconfirm. As far as I remember, they're both running on the same software - so they both should have QoS
@@NasiLemakTech i see, thanks for answer bro! Stay safe and thank you from Jakarta 👍
Need help again from you, please make video step by step about port range forwarding bro with this router?
You did not show what app you are using like we should all know it...
Port dia ada yang support unifi tv?
Kalau beli yg Malaysian version, ada je.
@@NasiLemakTech macam mana nak setting bro? Tunjuk sikitttt😬
Doesn't work with my ISP given two different modems. Spectrum Communications, United States.
why not??? are you missing a modem by any chance...
For me this AX3 Huawei Router was the trash!
Have already a Huawei Router from my InternetProvider and why I bought it was to extend my area and use Quest2.
Turns out can not bridge this two routers even if the app finds both. The signal strength is week and is not superior to the already in use Huawei G5 tower also when used for the Quest2.
Very disapointed , I will return this plastic bomber
Chian version no Lan cable right
That I'm not sure. We don't have the China version to compare.
@@NasiLemakTech sad, my china version ,no vlan. Can't use
I think you can manually configure the VLAN settings
Where to get global version? I only see chinese version of this router :D
It's available for sale in Malaysia officially. Not sure about other countries, though.
Chinese version has a different firmware - which I have no idea if it's possible to change to another firmware.
@@NasiLemakTech i see, ill try to check malaysian stores then. Great unboxing btw. Thanks!!!

Now 20200808, Huawei store is selling, has restocking
so just pay unifi bill?
Yeah.
Broadband password is same with WiFi password?
Nope. That broadband password will need to call up TM/Unifi/Maxis to get that information. It is the credentials used to dial up to the internet.
You should've said it's a MOBILE PHONE SET-UP in the title!!!!!!
Liked electroboom gif on laptop lol, thinking to buy huawei router but customs are strictly on huawei bcoz of ccp
Such a cutie
Hi
Hiw you have english interface, i have Chinese 😭😭
You bought the router from China?
I want router for 20 people connected
A lot of routers can do it.
Is the router in chinese language?
No, ours is Malaysian unit which has English user interface by default
