My 2002 2.7 has 271,000 miles. It still runs and shifts fantastic. Unfortunately there's a rust hole where the left gas tank was bolted to. I probably will have to get rid of it. Or strap it down with a ratchet strap and keep going. It's one of the most dependable cars I've ever had. It just keeps going and going and going.

I really liked the Eagle Vision TSi my mom drove for a few years. It was a lease, so we didn't keep it to 100,000 miles or anything, but it was a big upgrade from the Plymouth Acclaim we had before it. I don't know if a second-gen Vision sculpted into a jellybean like this would be as good looking.

The 300m was suppose to be the 2nd gen eagle vision.

I wish dodge/Chrysler never used the 2.7 engine and had the 3.2 be standard. I bet there would be a lot more intrepids and concordes still on the road along with stratus and sebrings.

Don't forget that transmissions were junk

Dodge had a lot more issues than just their engine. They got slightly better over the years but I think enough people were burned by their quality that they left for better brands and never went back. If police and rental car companies didn't use the Charger in their fleets, I wonder if that would still be around today...

What a joke. That is what America was competing with against finest from Japan and Germany. No wonder it failed as a car and as a company.

I wouldn't say they failed as company, because they're still around...even if they have less vehicles to choose from than Saturn did at the point of their demise. What keeps them alive is the opposite of what killed Saturn. Less people wanted the kind-hearted, people-first approach Saturn was founded on and are more interested in the max performance for their money.

Japanese cars are also junk. Only German cars are real cars!!!!

These cars sold very well…Chrysler was a leader in the 1990s and was surpassing many import brands as far as sales.
