After an incredible 4 days of riding our motorcycles across this beautiful country, we finally made it to Sturgis, South Dakota to let loose and enjoy some great times at the 2022 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally! This is one of our favorite trips we do every year, and this journey was no different!
We started out the day in Lusk, Wyoming for a short ride into South Dakota to get the party started! We hit up the Sturgis sign, stopped at one of our favorite restaurants in Deadwood, and hit the town to check out some bars & saloons for the night! We've got plenty more headed your way in the rest of the Sturgis 2022 series, so stay tuned!

ABOUT STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is a motorcycle rally held annually in Sturgis, South Dakota, and the surrounding Black Hills region of the United States. It began in 1938 by a group of Indian Motorcycle riders and was originally held for stunts and races.
The very first Sturgis motorcycle rally was held on August 14, 1938. The event was organized by the town’s motorcycle club called the Jackpine Gypsies who bought and developed large tracks, hill climbs and field areas where the rally would be held.
Today, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally continues to reap the support and attendance of both participants and motorcycle fans all over the United States and in some parts of the world.

I've seen that and might have some pictures somewhere of it! Have you gone to the 1880's gas stop town, about 150 miles east on I-90 it's the seine from Dances With Wolves.
@@neildewitt2869 Are you talking about Aladdin, WY? If so it’s just west of Belle Fourche, on a 2Laner road RT 34, on the way to Hulett, WY. They have a major scooter event Wednesday of rally week.
@@ricbailey170 no it's on I-90 east about 150 miles out. I stop for gas every year as I pass by. The movie set is outstanding to walk down the street. They used to hire and put on shows but it's to far out and nobody wants to live in the high planes.
"...modern day horses, out in the middle of the prairie..." the best ever definition about motorcycling in US I've heard or read!! Sturgis should be on every bikers bucket list and watching your series it just proves it, well done you all, thanks for sharing these awesome rides!! 👍👍

amazing as usual...had a change of plans and will be up there and staying in Deadwood the 1st week of June.....should have no problems getting down south to see Rushmore and other sights..

Definitely a great stay! That's usually our stay after a longer 2nd day or shorter 3rd day. Gotta love the omelette station🤘

" don't ride em haul em" wow! look guys there are a hundred reasons why some one might need to haul there bike, like (my #1 excuse) they cant go with out the spouse and she cant take the ride if its more than 200 miles. or your from SoCal and your meeting and camping with old friends from Michigan and Oregon (my #2 excuse). I'll be going to Sturgis this year with my uncle. I'll be riding, but he'll be trailering his bike because his wife isn't up for a two or three day ride going one way. At least that's his excuse 😆 I doubt he'd ride that far even if she wasn't tagging along, but it is what it is.

absolutely amazing! you guys are definitely inspiring. i really enjoy these video's. i love the scenery, and the bikes. i would love to ride a bike like y'all have, but i am a small 135 lb guy, and really don't have enough butt to pick something that big up, if it should fall over or be dropped. yes, i do know the way to pick up any bike, but 800 lbs just seems intimidating. anyway, just a great video. i love the fact people from all over the world follow 2 LaneLife. waiting on the next episode. be safe.

Hope to meet and greet you guys next year at the rally. I stay at Sacora Station Campgrounds in Piedmont exit 46. $800+64 tax for 10 days. America Legion half mile down frontage road $14 supper home cooked with cake and ice cream. Can't get a better meal anywhere in S.D.
Now that sounds like a meal!! Hope to see you out there. We haven't done camping at the rally as we have so much gear and things to charge every night, but we'll have to check out a campsite one of these days. Thanks for watching, Neil 👍
@@2LaneLife the campground isn't a 5 star but fir the price it's a great deal for the 10 days.its only $200 a week before/after. And the cabin has electric out lets!

The problem with Sturgis if you not great into Harley Davidson don't go. Not a big fan of Harley Davidson but I would love to see them Daytona 200, Isle of man tt and 8 hours of Suzuka same year.
There's still tons of other bikes out there during rally, but yes, a majority are Harleys or V-twins of some sort. Regardless of the bike, there is some great riding in the Black Hills 👍
Peter. Plenty of other bikes. Sturgis is for motorcycle fans and USA fans. Go when you can.

Planning to ride from NY to Sturgis in 2023. It would be a multi-day trip, What would be good places in between to sleep? Planning to do about 600 miles or so per day, has anyone done NY to Sturgis. Any help will be appreciated
