Logically speaking, even if Sian would've been better suited to be center, had Sian indeed gotten that position then it really would've become Sian and the girls. Sian is already main vocal, so she would've not only had the most lines, including the songs most signature ones, but also the center position for a significant duration of the song. That DEFINITELY wouldn't have been fair. However, regardless, the situation could've been resolved in a far better manner, and I'm not saying how this played out is the best option.

I’m currently rewatching the show and seeing these dislikes is heartbreaking :( the first time I watched I didn’t pay as much attention to Mina but I realized that she was much like Juri in the way that both of them were really happy and excited to be in a korean show even trying their best with the language not being shy to speak what they learned and yet people destroyed Mina who by the way did great
Let me explain to those who don't know HKT. Mina's picked to be the center by both Natsumi and Miku. Mina'd spent 7 years in HKT without much attention drawn, and it's likely that Natsumi and Miku realized this's the last chance for Mina. In this sense, Natsumi did a good job as a HKT team captain to support her fellows. For Natsumi and Miku, the result of this TV show didn't bother too much as they still have chances in Japan. In short, what they did was just helping their unpopular friend to be the center once in her whole performance career life.
Mina is not a top member in HKT and she doesn’t have much popularity. Pd48 is such an important chance for her to show herself. She treated this competition seriously and she did well in the center competition and the final performance. She also tried so hard to learn Korean(look at her pr video and u will see how hard she worked). I don’t see any reason to ruin her career for her teammate’s behavior plus mnet’s well-known evil editing.

They voted for the center position, Mina got the center position (japanese traines vote for mina and the other korean trainee vote for Sian. there are only 2 korean trainees in this group)

Y'all petty af, she didn't even said anything other that she wanted to be center, she wasn't the one who said the "sian and the girls" thing and she wasn't the one who said to choose center with rock paper scissors, so I don't get why y'all hating. Maybe her teammates were biased choosing her, I'm not going to deny that, but that's not her fault. Also if she wasn't suited for center or was doing a terrible job then the trainers would tell them to switch. But as you can see, she did a good job

Logically speaking, even if Sian would've been better suited to be center, had Sian indeed gotten that position then it really would've become Sian and the girls. Sian is already main vocal, so she would've not only had the most lines, including the songs most signature ones, but also the center position for a significant duration of the song. That DEFINITELY wouldn't have been fair.
However, regardless, the situation could've been resolved in a far better manner, and I'm not saying how this played out is the best option.

people are so bitter disliking mina's video as if she committed some great sin. i think her performance was great and besides that it's not like she did anything bad by accepting the center position. she didn't vote for herself and who wouldn't want the chance to be center?!?

Also, looking at this video, I think she did an awesome job as center. If she was not good enough, the trainers would definitely change her position. But they didn’t, so u guys should not assume Sian would be better than her as center!(I don’t hate Sian, just wanna explain the fact)

I’m currently rewatching the show and seeing these dislikes is heartbreaking :( the first time I watched I didn’t pay as much attention to Mina but I realized that she was much like Juri in the way that both of them were really happy and excited to be in a korean show even trying their best with the language not being shy to speak what they learned and yet people destroyed Mina who by the way did great
She got hated because of the last episode.. Mina please show them and prove those haters wrong

Let me explain to those who don't know HKT. Mina's picked to be the center by both Natsumi and Miku. Mina'd spent 7 years in HKT without much attention drawn, and it's likely that Natsumi and Miku realized this's the last chance for Mina. In this sense, Natsumi did a good job as a HKT team captain to support her fellows. For Natsumi and Miku, the result of this TV show didn't bother too much as they still have chances in Japan. In short, what they did was just helping their unpopular friend to be the center once in her whole performance career life.

Mina is not a top member in HKT and she doesn’t have much popularity. Pd48 is such an important chance for her to show herself. She treated this competition seriously and she did well in the center competition and the final performance. She also tried so hard to learn Korean(look at her pr video and u will see how hard she worked). I don’t see any reason to ruin her career for her teammate’s behavior plus mnet’s well-known evil editing.
