5 : Matter manipulation, if he knows the essence of something and has enough will power, he can make it

7 : he can open portals to heaven and hell
8 : he stopped the foot of Urizen, a necroplasmic god that devours souls and worlds and gets stronger every time he does it
9 : Spawn can literally stop time
10 : he could hurt Malbolgia in his own realm and hell kings are REALLY powerful in their own realm
11 : if Spawn touches you, he can make feel what hell feels like
12 : he can travel instantly but he said it's hurtful so he doesn't use it much
13 : Spawn is literally the shadows. Think of it this way. Imagine there is a shadow in corner of your room, Spawn can teleport there
13 : beast mastery
14 : shape shifting
15 : Spawn has shown to able to drain other beings power
16 : when he was hell king Spawn, he could summon other Hell Spawns and each time Hell King Spawn's heart beats, he gets 100 times more powerful
17 : the more pain Spawn inflicts, the stronger he gets
18 : if Spawn can literally give you nightmares while you're sleeping
19 : he can create, restore and take away memories
20 : he feeds of evil energy like worms, bats, wolves, owls etc
21 : his necroplasm can burn through anything even the gates of heaven
22 : his necroplasmic beams can hurt omnipotent and nigh omnipotent being like Satan and Urizen
23 : he is an extremely powerful telepath, he made a man think he lost all his skinsand made a woman think she was being attack by bugs and made another girl think that he she killed who she was supposed to kill but it was actually he friend
24 : as Duvine Spawn he vanished all hell spawns back to hell with his words and divine Spawn scales to God and Satan and Satan can destroy a hell king with a thought
25 : his suit is a living being of it's own
26 : he can talk to bugs and see through their eyes
27 : you may think that Spawn has a power bar but no my friends, he doesn't have a power bar, we are WAY passed that
28 : he can make duplicate of some kind
29 : Spawn can torment you in your own hell buy just looking at you
30 : the only to kill Spawn is by a holy weapon or weapons made from necroplasm, it's not like Superman and Kryptonite where you just show it to him he goes weaker, no in caze of Spawn you actually have to behead him and that was even shown to not be enough
31 : he can make dimensions and trap you there
32 : in Darkness he gets stronger
33 : times doesn't apply to Spawn, think of it this way. If tou travel through time and kill Al Simmons when he was a kid, that wouldn't work cause technically Al Simmons is dead anyway and Spawn is just a being of hell

35 : Spawn doesn't need his organs to sruvive. They're just there in placement of what he used to be

Spawns' suit is composed of the souls of the damned so souls that have sinned, it will either incinerate the suit or banished it back to hell leaving Spawn powerless.

Not too sure on that one: I've read that the Rider used the Penance Stare on the Punisher and while it stunned him, He recovered momentarily from the stare -- because he felt no remorse for what he'd done, something that shocked the rider.
You're right though, it would be a hella fun fight. People don't talk about it, but if you look at everything that the Rider can do, I personally feel his abilities wouldn't be that separate from spawns (he can MAKE a bike out of hellfire. What's to stop him from making clothes or weapons or... you get my point, his flames could very easily be like spawns suit). Dunno about the teleportation and time manipulation and all that, but a lot of the more 'basic' stuff they're pretty much an even match.
Possibly the only thing I see holding the Rider back is if the fight goes into the day -- Rider is trapped to nighttime, depending on your timeline and where you're at in it, but if I'm not mistaken, Spawn has no such restriction and can continue to murder your face off.

Admittedly just barely if I remember right, but this fight is more of a unstoppable force meeting a unmovable object. I honestly just think Johnny Blaze is the better known Ghost Rider. Danny Ketch deserves more notoriety. It's Danny's costume that is the iconic Ghost Rider costume not Johnny's. The Penance Stare was also specifically a Danny Ketch power not Johnny Blaze.
Yeah, even when I saw the Ghost rider movie that introduced me to him, after learning more I realized that they used Johnny as the protagonist but got the design and powers for Danny.

I've always been a fan of Ghostrider, and I also like Spawn. I would agree that the outcome of such a battle would depend upon who is writing the story. It probably becomes difficult to come up with storylines when you make your characters too powerful, hence the introduction of different incarnations of familiar characters to accommodate relatable story arcs. I recall an issue of Marvel's two-in-one, or team-up, whichever featured the Thing. I believe it was the grandmaster who orchestrated a contest of champions- for the sake of this particular story- the Hulk was almost immediately disqualified as his rage caused him to lose Banners personality (which he possessed at the time) , thus effectively eliminating the need to try to justify the hulk somehow losing this contest of sheer might.

Ok first off I like the points and opinions made here and Im a huge fan of both the ghost rider and spawn but honestly I'm going with the ghost rider on this and I''ll explain why.
The Ghost Riders are angels, heavens black ops, created by god himself to purge all forms of evil and sin from the world. The riders are virtually immortal and resistant to any and all forms of physical damage that can be inflicted on them. Furthermore a ghost rider cannot be killed by anyone but the being who created him, which is god. God created ghost riders and only god can destroy them period.
This was even proven when Zadikel in the ghost rider arc, heavens on fire, when Zadikel used the powers of all the spirits of vengeance that he had collected for him by his agent on earth, johnny blazes brother danny ketch to tear down the walls of heaven and take the throne for himself becoming god. However, even though Zadikel became god and all the powers that come with becoming god in his absence, he still could not kill any of the ghost riders since he wasn't the one who created them in the 1st place. Sure he could shift the power around, have it leeched from the hosts but even with the powers of god, being a stand in, couldn't destroy what god himself had created.
Spawn may have the powers of a god or maybe god in the image universe but he wasn't the god that created the ghost riders in the 1st place and even if Spawn did happen to take over as god in the marvel universe, the same thing that happened with Zadikel would happen with Spawn. May have the powers of god but didn't originally create ghost riders, therefor he cannot destroy them even with gods power.
Ghost Riders also can be damaged or even destroyed by weapons created from heaven or hell but if the host dies, the spirit itself will leave the deceased host only to find another host to come back claiming vengeance. Again ghost riders cannot be killed.
As for Zarathos, the ghost rider itself, if blaze actually turned off the 'safety' and let the rider take over, I think Zarathos would not stop until spawn is dead. No matter how much good Spawn has done over the years and tried to make up for it, he still would reek of sin and if your filled with sin your pretty much screwed. Ghost riders do not stop, they can't be stopped and they will keep coming after you until your either dead or penance stared.
Hellspawns can be killed by having their heads blown off, Ghost riders have had body parts torn off, heads and bodies blown up, complete disintegration and have literally come back every single time.
As OP as spawn is, even with that amazing list, Hellspawns are not immortal, the spirits of vengeance, ghost riders are^_^

Spawn obviously the winner here but that would be a hell of a fight because ghost rider won't give up.
The amount of ignorance here in regards to Ghost Rider is astounding. Between the two, Ghost Rider would win. Current Spawn cannot handle Zarathos in his current state. Thor, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, and the rest of the Uncanny Avengers *could not stop or even phase* Zarathos when he was unleashed. The only reason they were able to stop him was because Rogue thought it would be a good idea to absorb Zara onto herself to stop him, which she immediately begged Blaze to take him back afterwards as Zarathos was taking over her mind. GR's also accomplished feats like defeating Satan 666 times, saving Heaven from Zadkiel who succeeded where Satan failed in taking over, and more. Sure Spawn may have banished God and Satan but that feat didn't last..Those two have been back in his current storyline for a few years now.
Spawn's also not done much of relevance in recent years that would set him on a higher standard over GR, not to mention he's reeling right now from giving up a huge amount of his power to keep Satan at bay recently. Not even Divine Spawn would work against Ghost Rider as GR was proven to be immune to reality warping since Zadkiel couldn't affect them. The only ones who think Spawn wins are those not well versed on Ghost Rider

Talk about Ghost Rider’s feats as they are contained to the Marvel universe don’t even compare to what Spawn has pulled off. Spawn has as you mentioned confined God and Satan. You said that Ghost Rider has beaten Satan when in actuality he has only beaten Mephisto who is not Satan but rather Marvel’s “version” of the devil.
Even at his base strength having given up his God-like powers, he has access to magic and is only limited by what he can do by his IMAGINATION. Ghost Rider can’t even touch Spawn.
Nice try though. Next time, know what the hell you are talking about when it comes to BOTH characters, not just one.

Love watching this show. I disagree with your Ghost Rider vs Spawn outcome. Spawn is a human soul granted demonic powers. Ghost Rider source of power is Zarathos the spirit of vengeance. He's practically a hell lord. He's taken down Mephisto to become king of Hell. His penance stare not just affect physical living being but also souls tainted with the blood of innocence that includes demon souls or entity too. Al Simmons soul is soaked with the blood of many innocent victims he murdered. Heck Ghost Rider took down Galactus!! Thats enough power to pull a win.

I know that this is kinda old, but... doesn't Ghost Rider actually have a named demon form that is a *lot* more powerful than the basic Johnny Blaze one? You allowed Spawn to travel through all his versions up to the divinely powered one; why not let Ghost Rider as Zarathos (I think that's his name) be figured into the equation?
Ghost Rider at his finest is on pair with Hulk. It was stated by Dr Strange that if Zarathos took over Johnny, HULK WOULD HAVE TROUBLE. Basically, Dr Strange said that Johnny held back Zarathos from rapeing the Hulk. Remember, if Zarathos is in control, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE! *QUITE LITERALLY!*
