My name is Abdul I'm was born in Antala I have spent many times on The beach of sambava I live in England since 19 63 adult would like to go back to Madagascar to visit my country it is a beautiful country thank you
Hello Paul, 15€ is a good rate for the Melrose. I stayed in Sambava a few years ago = Hotel Mimi, I think that I paid 25€ (??) but that hotel is very fine also. A strolled along the beach and also in front of the Melrose, I still noted it for the next time.... Yes, Sambava is a small & quiet town but has a very nice beach. Unfortunatley there's no harbour (that's in Vohemar, with a great bay)
You say that there are many rocks in the water and it's not pleasant to swim. My question: which beaches in Madagascar do you recommend that are without rocks in the water?
Actually in Sambava, up near the boardwalk there is a small beach where you can swim, no rocks or plants underwater it was great. Other areas for beaches include: Nosy Be & Morondava
Hi Paul , thanks for the videos, I am flying into Nosy Be at the beginning of December for 6 weeks. I was wondering what the nightlife is like in Diego Suarez?
The nightlife in Diego is Pretty much Taxi Be. It is busy almost every night except maybe Sundays. I did notice a club for locals that seemed a bit busy down the road. Taxi Be has a good live band every night, and a separate VIP area with DJ music. There are a couple of other places, but not much going on in any of them from what I saw.
Another fantastic video, Paul! I am envious of your world-trekking life. Which location has been your favorite? Also, are you fluent in French? I took un peu de Francais way back in high school, mais j'ai oublie tout! Anyway, I really enjoy the videos! They're fun to live vicariously through you, but they are also informative. I've finally worked up the nerve, and the time, to visit Kenya this coming January! Hope my time there is close to as enjoyable as your time in Africa.
thanks, I actually spend quite a bit of time in Canada working long hours from home. The coast of Kenya and Madagascar would be my top 2. My French is about B2 level upper intermediate. I lived in Paris back in the day for 4 years and learned it there.
Do you speak French? If so, I would recommend: Diego Suarez, Tamatave or maybe Nose Be...If not, I would probably recommend the coast of Kenya, spend 2 months between: Mombasa, Ukunda, Malinda, Watamu.
It's not the same kids you see on the way to schools for all day and saturday... Actually, I think it is the schools are using shifts systems. Some kinds go in the morning until noon, and other go from noon to 5-6pm. For those in early shift, also go on Saturday... something similar is used in Congo
I was told kids there go to school for many hours every day. From morning till 6pm with a 2 hour break around noon. It may depend on which area of the country I'm no expert on the subject.
Next destination. Thanks for the video
Merci bonne vidéo.

I went through Vohemar a couple of times on a bus. Next time I'll try to stay there a few days.
Wunderschön 😍👌🙏
