Hi Dillon. I'm from Slovenia (Europe) and 36 years old. I started doing custom shoes 1 year ago because that was my dream job since ever. I learned from your videos and I've been doing good so far. Now I wanna paint a homemade backpack made from sky leather and I have some problems. I wanted to do a white silhouette on black sky leather. The silhouette is basicaly just the outter line of the character so not a real silhouette but more a outline of a person. I didn't prepaired the sky leather with sanding paper because the outter line was so thin that I couldn't reach into the smal corner areas with precision. The Sky leather is a really soft material and the paint came off a little in some areas and it cracked when bending the sky leather. I'm sure it's because I've used no sanding paper to prepaire the material because it's such a smooth and almost pollished like surface on a allready synthetic material right? Can you show or tell a hack or something how to deal with sandind paper and those delicate little areas with detail and on such a material and thing like that? Thanks

Ever since then I’ve wanted custom 22q shoes, and then I found your channel eventually, and realized I want to start customizing sneakers. I haven’t unfortunately been able to start customizing yet, but hopefully will be able to soon. My dream pair to customize is the ESPN Top Ten high top. I absolutely love your work and will continue watching your channel! I can’t wait until I am able to start customizing!
I’m so curious about the durability of customs.. does the paint just wear away over time or does the finish prevent that fully. Can customs go into the washing machine or tumble dryer? How do you maintain the quality of them if they’re being worn??
I think thats gunna totally vary by how they’re used and how properly they were painted.. for the most part I wouldn’t recommend throwing them in the washer, since I think majority of custom shoes are a luxury piece.. if we’re talking a daily beater I have thrown some in there before to clean up the soles and such but you’re more likely to run into paint scuffing if you do that..

It’s gunna vary with how fresh your paint is but most typically around 75% paint 25% 2thin, and then liquid kicks matte finishb
