I am so sorry for your loss! Last year I lost my mother. I started to watch the show in a really dark time of my life. I didn't like it much at first, then gradually fell in love with it. I agree with you, SPN helped us to believe that we have a loving caring family which gives us the strength to fight.
I know what you mean... life is not the same anymore... you have to watch THE WINCHESTERS series and after that.. you have to rewatch supernatural... so did i.. and it was a great decision..i also got a spn tattoo to remains me to... always keep fighting... happy hollydays
I've decided i'll do my own editing of the finale, when I'll be able to watch the show again. I'll watch until Sam leaves the bunker with Miracle and then skip all the montage of family man Sam and go directly to Sam reuniting with Dean in Heaven. It will be like if Sam gets killed, or rather seeks death, on his last hunt so he can get to his brother as soon as possible. Because I still can't get over of how wrong the end was in separating the two brothers.

I particularly like the shot of Sam in the pilot around 1:38...He stops smiling because he noticed something (we know it’s the picture of three of them that John carries with him and left on the mirror) BUT the editing gives the impression that it’s because he’s seeing Dean’s death happening in the future, in 15 years. It haunts me... Thanks for sharing this gem with us.

If so, I must have worded my thought very badly if I made the scenes I was commenting on unrecognizable 😅 I was talking about the shot of Sam in the motel room in 1x1 that is followed by a shot of Dean dying in the barn in 15x20 (between 1:38 and 1:42). The juxtaposition gives the illusion that Sam is having a premonition of the way his brother will eventually die, the illusion that it’s why his smile is disappearing in the pilot. Anyway, I love your vids ! The songs and the scenes selected :)
