i wanted to try my hand at making a lyric video for the full vers shown in the episode " down and out" since i love this song so much. kind of a tribute to king dice as well.. this batch of episodes was SO GOOD .

I just wanna say, I love how this song feels like a King Dice themed “Minnie the Moocher”. Wayne Brady absolutely does wonderful paying homage to Cab Calloway with this.

I admire how the actress voiced her in a “turn back” way in the OG game. But Wayne Brady just blows it outta the water with the “gamble if you just need that one streak of luck in your life.” Kinda song and dance. Genius idea of Netflix to hire a man with that insanely high amount of charisma in his voice like him.
I still have no idea why a female voices him in the game, but she still did a great job in Die House.

It sounds inspirational and sounds like a good choice but in reality yeah you're right its him persuading folks to gamble.
The moment I realized this song existed I was so happy. We NEEDED a King Dice song, and this does not disappoint at all. Wayne Brady captures Calloway's vibe so well, and is a really good singer

KING DICE BACKSTORY
When King Dice once was a young boy, every night he would run away from home to the city bar to perform many magic tricks for the drunks. He always have a trick up his sleeves and fooled many of the innocent people in the bar! One day it would be with a dirty scam and in the other day pickpocket from the sleeping people.
One dark night decided young Dice to go to the neighboring city because many people in the local bar started to run out from the goods and riches, after a long way to the neighboring city, disappointed was Dice to see that in the bar there was but only two people, the first was the barman and the second was an old man sitting alone.
But determined to fill his pockets young, Dice decided to try to fool the old man! But after a while started the old man to tell not ending stories about himself when he was in young boy age. Not interested and annoyed Dice didn't listen to the old man and try instead to pocket thief him, but the man caught him red handed and reveal himself to be the one and only the devil! And with a mocking vice and a purse in his hand he said "were you looking for this?" Continue the devil and said "you try to steal from me! Well for this young man your hand should be cut!" As he raise a knife and Dice started to cry from fear.
"Please sir I beg! Have mercy! I'll do everything! I will even be your servant for the rest of my life if you want just please don't hurt me!" Cry and beg Dice.
"What an interesting option you give me! Lets do just that! I will have mercy on you and you will be my very own servant" said the devil as he pulls out a contract and a pen "after all it will be a shame to lose a talented boy like you so what do you say kid we have a deal?"
Dice without a thought signed and agreed to the deal because he was scared from the idea of what will happen if he dare to say no to the devil, and from that day forward Dice served the devil and did all what the devil asked from him, after some years turned Dice from a simple servant to the devil's right hand man and get the title King Dice.

I think it has something to do with how villains are just... Smug, unpretentious, determined pricks, and you admire that ferocity with which they pursue their ambition. There's no malais in them until they are found to suffer and that's only forcing them to the same edge.
That's why the songs also reflect this sort of... Grind. It's really what we like in ourselves too, so you invariably respect it.
