- finally back at regular servers, finally back at teutonic!
sry mates, update messed up my other videos, so I did this one over night. not much action, as we tried to grow a sea deino. hope you still enjoy it and I'll do my best to make some new vids as soon as possible ;-)

yeah, maybe they add some water spots at harbour, like they did at Legacy. also at north beaches would be some water nice. or at least a possibility to go up where east river ends in the sea.

That was my favorite quiet growing spot on QA - now it looks like I'll have some company! I never got there as a deino, though. Thanks for the underwater tour! Absolutely beautiful! They should put some fish in the ocean.
same, I grew some carnos there. many AI upcliff, no deino can hide in this waterspot XD
I hope they put a watersource to the harbour as soon as it is ready. would love fish in the sea, even only small one for ptera would be nice already :)
It would be nice if the deinosuchus was changed to be tolerant of the sea water. They likely preferred estuarine environments, so would make sense.
yeah, I would love sea creatures as well. even as DLC some years after release. I would buy it. still, so many other stuff to work on till then.
Back in update 3 (just the mechanic test I think) you could get water from the ocean, wish that was still a feature.
@@Patrick3183 Yes, basically an environment where salt water and fresh water mix. Brackish is another term sometimes used.
If they added sea turtles to its diet, I'm pretty sure they're also intending it for the sea.
@@SirKolass it would be sad if not. the coastal area is so beautiful. but, you don't have much reason to go there right now. ptera (crabs) and maybe deino with further updates (more water, fish, and so on) could be the first to change that.
this game needs a bigger variety of AI Creatures (from sharks to snakes to whatevers) and more of them ..as well as more freshwaterspots.
yeah, some aqua creatures would be nice. hopefully we get some, after they finished the basics of the game :)
someone could just make an entire alligator documentary from the isle its so good looking
XD... yeah, the game looks amazing. so many nice places, the animations are just beautiful. it still has a long way to go, but, in terms of make you feel like a real dino, this game is far ahead of all dino games I played so far. and I played some ^^
they could add bull sharks for both the coast, swamps, and rivers. would be aggressive to dinos of a certain size/weight but prove a good amount of food in the process. they should be a more rare spawns since they could be a problem for young deino's if they spawned too much. this would spice up the waters and give the coast more life. also, make the deino's water not go down in saltwater again
sounds good. but, honestly, I would already be glad if they bring back the normal AI (teno, utah, carno). like we had on the test server once. they were so fun to interact with. it's sad they didn't make it into the game since more than a year now :/

Hope they really make the sea life more alive like making the ocean floor looking better by adding stuff like coral, sea weed etc.
and add more variation of sea life like Fish, whales, dolphins, sharks, sea turtle, crabs etc.
Just imagine you play as a human with another human player and you are rowing out to the sea to catch some fish. Then a Dolphin tries to warn you that you are in danger, but its too late. your row boat has been struck by a Mosa and you try to get to shore before getting killed by a mosa. same goes to be diving in the water with a squba gear and a mosa player is hunting you.
honestly, I would love sea creatures coming in. I just doubt it. maybe with an DLC one day, but, the devs have no intention to do this so far. still, hope dies last XD

every evolution needs a creature that does something first XD
I just need them to release another popular Dino so I’m not constantly being canibalized by already grown gators.
honestly, I think this will last till they release another aquatic or semi aquatic dino like suchomimus or spino. a popular land dino won't change much on that, I guess. could be wrong tho.
@@da.mombie I hope you are wrong. I pretty much only want to play deino, but I can’t even enjoy it because of the current state of the food.
@@da.mombie they also could take a sacrifice for the sake of gameplay and give us a penalty for cannibalism despite it not being realistic. I know it’s realistic. But it’s a video game, it’s supposed to be fun. And I’m strictly NOT having fun because of the cannibalism
@@corybrown2197 I get your point. and yeah, a video game should also be fun. on the other hand it should be fair. the devs don't want any dino to feel safe. none should be like, as soon as you are big, you are safe. rex was one of the toughest to keep alive at Legacy. 'cause it needed that much food.
the point is, deino has no enemy right now. stego? yeah, still, as soon as you are in water, you are safe. this isn't fair compared to the life of all other dinos. that is why they "force" cannibalism now. to give you a threat also in water. as soon as other "water dinos" like spino or sucho come in, this will change, I guess. 'cause you have other threat then. but till then, I don't think the devs will give them any kind of penalty.
I don't like cannibals either, but I love the threat they give me. the goosebumps everytime two big crosses my way ;-)

But my experience so far is that I just wander in the water looking for food trying to grow until I come across a fully grown croc. And then they eat me. I don’t really know how even they got that big because I only get to like 30% and then I get eaten.
If we can’t get rid of cannibalism then we need more waterways or places we can go to find food. Or just more food

yeah, would be so nice. but, I doubt it, 'cause they already said no and have a "ready" list for upcoming dinos.
still, I hope that after the game is ready and devs had a small break, they rethink this and make a DLC with many sea creatures someday.
I cant enter the main menu ingame. I've tried reinstalling, verifying files, reseted my settings etc. I cant find a fix for this... anyone here got a solution?
you mean character screen? it was on insert before and is now with tab (tabulator). you can switch back in settings if you prefer insert key.
Coast is nice, but there are only petras flying there and in the end only petras will have a social gameplay since lol you are always the only Deinosuchus there.
it's a suicide mission. I was about 3? times at the beach till now. everytime I died pretty quick and very lonely. it's nice to have a look once, 'cause it's a beautiful area. but, like you said, it's also boring without any social contact.

well, it was a very relaxed deino gameplay. it was beautiful to discover the bay and so on. on the long run it is boring tho. just too less action (players, AI) after a while.
I grew a deino to 85% yesterday but it was crazy... Tenons running everywhere, carnos, Utah’s, stegos was soooo busy at nw!!! We decided to team with the Utah’s and let them bleed out the carnos, in return we will eat the Utah’s :) Pretty good deal, right?

because I record for my vids, I limit my frames to 60 FPS. I didn't experiment much with settings and best possible FPS. therefore I have no experience to share.
What is the point of coastal I do not understand, you cannot even access it easily because of the huge cliff there for no reason
well, fun? I grew a lot deinos already. ambushed a lot, got killed a lot, have been at all rivers. the new lake or pond. so, I wanted to see something different. wanted to know if you can survive out there. if there is something in the water. how coastal looks like under water. stuff like that.
and to be honest, it was a kind of wtf reaction. the devs put turtle on deinos diet at test server. it still is, but you have plenty of other options now. at test server it was ridiculous, cause there was goat (mountains) and turtle (coastal) on diet. both too far to reach, when you play normally. so I wanted to show it is possible to get turtle. but does it make sense?
also I saw it as a challenge to myself. to get down. had different ways in my head. well, it was more easy than I thought, so. no satisfaction on that side ^^
after all, I enjoyed it. was something new, something different to me. will I play there on the long run? nope. way too boring. but for some hours, I can recommend. specially to people who like to explore and just chill some hours :)

i've tried this multiple times and i always die of dehydration.
the best (or probably only) chance is with juvie deino right after the start. fill up your belly and start immediately. a good starting point is the last crossing of the south center river before the big south waterfall. I would recommend to run/search your track with hypsi first. try to find the shortest way and remember some waypoints. like big rocks/mountains in the distance. be aware, I never got back so far. so, it's a oneway ticket to death. 'cause at some point you will starve. at the south sea are two water spots (like in the video), but not enough food for a sub or adult deino later on.

@@da.mombie I've seen a stego AI when i was playing as a deino at the pond but we see that wierd stego and it was aggro at me and not any of the deinos only me

bruh, how is that possible that yoru games works so smooth ? my game is lately one big lag festival and fps drop shitshow :/ damn your rig must be from NASA :D
Nvidia RTX3080, AMD ryzen 9 5900X. test server has been very laggy, but since update has dropped, it's really smooth. only at lake I get lag at times. but to be fair, there are mostly 50 players around.

i followed a river to a waterfall that goes down to the beach but i cant get back up and im dying from thirst and im nowhere near where u went in this video
yeah, you are at the north beach. there is no water and I guess also no way back. well, the new north beach spot could give you the chance to get back to the river. but, probably you will die. on the other hand, you would have also died at the beach I went down (south). 'cause at one point you run out of food and the way back is too far for a big deino. at least i never made it back so far XD

@@da.mombie i played deino and i managed to grow it up to 85% when the partner i met in the game suggested heading to the sea, but unfortunately we didn't know where better to go and whether there would be fresh water, we headed from the south in a completely different direction from the pocket pool in three bridges falls. There we went down under the waterfall, realized what mistake we had made and died 🤣 but it was interesting travel. Аnd I first met a sea turtle :D so the journey was not entirely in vain
Where is the coastal area on the map?
south west. best to reach from new south pond. or much more the last way that crosses the river, before you go through that "canyon" to pond. from that waycross around 100 meter west and then south southwest, or even south. you will come to cliffs and need to find a way down.

thx, but I was a fool. I hunted this bird, all my stam was down. so I swam slowly into the harbour to fill up stam and have a look. then I was like ohh, ahhh, ohhh, wow, oh ship, cool, oh, nice... and suddenly my health was down. to me it felt like a minute, but was way longer. conclusion? fool! 😁

@@saurus8657 the lake? nope, no deino well being place. is more like old south pond. battle arena ;-)
@@da.mombie nope because in this fucking thing you can't swim on the bank of the lake, that mean you can't lunge and this is a sage place for drink. And the biggest problem of that is nobody come to the river to drink so deino can't hunt.
This is my feelings about it but this is so annoying in my opinion, and I wanted to know your feeling about it.
For me the lake itself is good idea but this bank no.
@@saurus8657 yeah, honestly the lake design is weird. I don't get that much safe drink spots either. to me, the small waterways beside lake would be enough. the west and east end isn't necessary. but like I said, lake is new pond. all are there right now. all the action. also with other dinos, many lag 'cause so many around. but like with every new thing, people will be sick of it very soon and be more around the map again.
north river is dead right now. at center river I always get prey or can steal prey on land at least.
much more I can recommend the swamp area now. specially east swamp can be very interesting with deino. many teno and stego grow there. not as busy as center river was. but still, I found some players there. also the surroundings look very nice there.
honestly, I miss the northern part of the map. they put very less plants there, so less herbs and therefore also less carni. kind of sad. but, we all (incl. devs) know the map isn't good designed in general. way too big.
I like being a salty too more open out there
everybody has his playstyle. nothing bad about. I really hope they have rule server like Legacy had at the end. so everyone can choose the server with the preferred style

where did you go down? more east? where you end up at the small pond with the waterfall? or more west?
@@da.mombie nope I went down the same path you did but further beyond the path down you took. I looped back to the shipping crates and then found the puddle. The first time I tried it I ended up falling off the cliff, the second time was attacked by Utah's who died and the third time was the charm.

Very, luckily no one was around and I got food and health. Now to figure out how to get back to land so I can be social again
@@JDunkSky1985 the shortest way I found was from the little pond at the waterfall. it is very tricky, if you don't know it exactly tho. as you can run very wrong and be very dead soon. I found it with utah once, but was lost and died with my deino when I tried it later on ;-)

Hey bro, is there an easy way to get to the ocean? I wanna grow my deino there as well
the best way is from south. pretty much the way I walked in the video. I would recommend you to spawn a hypsi first and find the way down till the drink spot. get yourself some landmarks. but, be aware, it is tough to impossible to get back. I didn't make it once with a deino above 60%-70%. doesn't mean it isn't possible at all (I only tried 4-5 times), but I didn't find a way till now. it's still fun their for once (or every now and then). lonely, but beatutiful ;-)

yeah. I wanted to try out sea deino at least once. was a funny different gameplay to my normal deino play, but no action at all.
I love it so far. no lag, all smooth. some little bugs as always, like drink doesn't work, you sit down, stand up and it works again. but nothing serious. after all that mess the last weeks at test server, it feels just good to be back to normal :)

well, there is. or did they change diet with regular update? didn't play ptera so far. at test server were crabs and turtles on ptera diet. both coastal. did they change?
@@da.mombie They did change it, they removed carcasses and added frogs and elite fish, the rest are the same. I just don't find any AI on the coast though, I don't find AI anywhere in this game to be honest.
The only AI I've seen on the coast was a crab speeding on the water and then it vanished lol
I think once people kill the AI they take a lifetime to respawn, it's quite broken.

What brings the diet
well, let's say a lot of options in the future.
right now it is more like, perfect diet, safe some (less tho) time compared to before diet. great diet, lose time already, good diet twice as long as before and bad diet = you are totally messed up (-50% attack as carni).
at least it was at test server, played too less new update to confirm these stats.
for the future, you can influence the game in many ways. like how hard babus life will be, how hard your life will be, where different dinos move on the map, even challenges and stuff. I see many options. but also a long way to go.
right now it is more or less just testing setup. as so many dinos will enter the game and influence the diet of others as well. at the moment it is kind of keep you busy and try to get rid of AFK grows ;-)

I was down there at QA as well. messed up the recording (no sound ^^).
it was more easy to walk down there at QA, deino had more stam or could run longer distance at QA. at least it felt like that. but, I didn't find any food at QA. no turtle, no fish, nothing. I starved way earlier.

they are so stingy with water ponds
yeah, they rebuild the south west of map. at this places they added water. just the harbour part is missing. but it isn't ready yet. I guess they will cover the harbour with water like they did at Legacy. maybe the rebuild north beach also sometimes and add water. I really hope so.
But wow whow boutifull it was
the seaside is amazing. they didn't put much stuff underwater so far, beside that bay with the container. still, it looks awesome. I really like the surroundings there. but, like I said in the video, you are pretty lonely out there :(
Stop eating turtles they are in endangered species
well, from dinos point of view, turtle survived 65 mio years more, at least. so, if anyone is allowed to eat a turtle, then a dino... I would say ;-)
