  • Hello and Welcome to Today's Video as we begin a New Series where we will we showing you Snail rearing and Production in a Green House.
In this video, we are looking at a situation whereby we utilize the concrete pens as hatchery, and thereafter introduce the young snails to the green house which is modeled after their natural habitat. The snails are in free range and allowed to move freely and breed inside the Green House. The green House is well secured to prevent predators, properly covered to prevent ultraviolet rays of the sun into the house, and also properly aerated for the breeding of the snails.

Wish u had made gravel/stone paths down the middle and small ones across the greenhouse. Makes it easier to walk through and not risk stepping on a snail.

Is the floor of the greenhouse concrete? Cos snail predators can travel through the soil. I will suggest you place bricks to walk on all over the greenhouse, by so doing you can prevent people from stepping on a young snail. Sorting may likely be a problem with this practice too, but the growth rate and less management are worth it.

Within 1:22 of video, I ask why you think feed is necessary instead of planting snail food? You must realise that this method of agriculture is for those who want to destroy life by pretending they can make feeds. Please identify snail foods then plant that for your livestock. Snail is livestock too.
