A truly excellent product … if you take the time to learn how it works and use it properly. The manual is not very concise. We had five cats visiting our garden until I bought one of these, in fact I bought two extras. as the garden is quite large. We use it on setting 3. It does not affect birds - in fact most appear to ignore it. During very sunny weather, ‘hot’ (UK) , the circuit that senses the battery temperature may cut the power off temporarily. If you put the unit in the fridge to cool down it will resume normal operation very soon afterwards. The unit works so well that if we ever do see a cat, it turns out to be because the battery is out of charge … due to dull weather and not having been topped up on the mains. The flashing white light illuminates briefly when you set the frequency to 4 or 5. This lets you know the thing is charged up. You can then move the switch back to a lower setting as required. You cannot replace the 18650 battery with a standard one as it is the type that has three wires. The third wire is for the battery temperature sensor. If you do not use this wire the lithium battery could well overheat if the sun charges it too much, causing permanent damage. Like most gadgets, this thing takes some time to get used to. After several months use it has proven to work extremely well. Highly recommended.
You can also store the usb charging cable that comes with it inside of the metal post so you will never lose it.

What are the frequencies that this uses? My neighbour has one, cats n dogs not bothered by it. I can hear it. They have explained that its on the lowest setting and cant understand why i can hear it
You can find battery anywhere... that is a 16850... standard for laptop batttery.

Just bought two, both DEAD and too light, I can't believe a battery is in there, same package, apart from no screws, thermo sealed.......wasted an hour's drive....

Lidl has another cat repeller. It's a motion water repellent. I want to try it out but I cant find any reviews of it.
Can children also hear this device?? I have neighbors that have very noisy children and a even noiser dog which is fine its summer kids should be outside playing but sometimes I like to have some quiet time in my yard and would be nice to have something to clear them out for my morning meditation and coffee

djairjordan I am 27 years old and I can hear it. It hurts a lot and I even get a headache. This thing shouldn‘t be legal
I got a few of these for our garden. On setting "1" your children may be able to hear it however on the higher settings they wont.The big thing is though, it doesn't work in that it has no effect at all on deterring rodents, cats, dogs, foxes as they all still came into the garden and ignored the sound.
Children will be noisy playing. No matter how much you use. They are innocent, they will be running and playing with noise knowing nothing about someone in the neighbourhood might be toxicating them. Spread love.

Bought 2 don’t bother they won’t work after 6 months had to charge won’t charge up won’t change them in Lidl lost bill go to customer service they haven’t got any so said I have to get in touch with German firm want details bank then said you need to go to your bank and get GB number bank advise me to be carful doing that i not going to do that

Yes it will deter things that move including birds and cats and dogs
Harmful , ?? , i bought this to deter gulls nesting on the roof, placed it on window , 20 minutes later i find a pigeon in the room , tried again next day and within minutes the bird trying again to get in , useless

It does not work. No sound produced from this useless device only flashing light.
