I live about 5 minutes away from this garage and i‘ve always seen a glimpse of a couple koenigseggs when driving by and seeing what is actually in there now absolutely blows my mind.
You should rob it !
It is funny this garage is in Switzerland, country which is basicly hostile to (super)cars and motoring :D
When you would drive these cars at 20% of their capabilities on Swiss roads, you would spend rest of your life in prison LOL

Yet still in no other country are that many super- and hypercars. The density of exotic car customers is extremely high in that region. So the location of the garage makes absolutely sense.
The Swiss have also the most horsepower on streets globally. So the speed limits and the restrictive traffic laws have zero influence to how highly people are motorized.

Where should be the difference to the rest of the world?!
The laws aren't as severe as you probably think. Just driving sporty and enyoing your supercar won't get you in jail...For that you would need to be on a rampage and severly endanger others.
The highest speed limit is 120km/h or 75mph. That's not any different than everywhere else except the German Autobahn...
And because of many curvy and steep roads you can actually drive more sporty within the speed limit.
That beeing said most supercar owners don't race their cars anyway.
I mean how do you race in London...
His attention to detail makes this building and car collection what I personally think is one of if not the best in the world. Have u been living under a rock.. so many collections better than this. Jay Leno is not the best but defo better than this. U cant have best collection until u have cars like Mclaren f1, veryron, enzo, pagani, Muira etc. Look at The Collection 1 in Bahrain online, makes this collection look like a peasants collection

I've never imagined anything like this much less seen it. I'm blown away and like the gentleman below, the title does not get even close to the world's best garage. And then the cars. Oh my goodness. I have to admit, they would not let me in there for obvious reasons but the other reason is I would have to touch everyone of them. (get my hands cut off I suppose.) wow.
I usually jump around in a 50 minute video. But crikey, I watched through every single second of this video. The detail on this is nuts! Well done James! Great questions as well.

@@MichaelApodaca the collection 1. In bahrain, has ferraris, lambos, bugatti, mclaren f1, porsche etc all the hypercars. This collection has no variety.. even my 6 year old son will tell u, u cannot claim to have the best collection if u dont have Mclaren f1, bugatti veyron, ferrari enzo, paganzi zonda. Etc.
I have an aventador, ferrari f12, porsche carrera gt. There are at least 1,000 collections in the world better than mine coz i dont have all the major cars
@@mh9tv Although the cars in this collection is great but not up to your standard of being the best collection of cars that's besides the point. The point is that as the ultimate space for storage and display, this is unbeatable. Everything is at hand right here. It's like the entire motor industry under one roof. That's an exaggeration, I know, but where else would you find a space that has a private collection, a dealership, an engineering company, servicing, a fitment center, washing and detailing, and a home all under one roof? For me this is the ultimate because I've had a similar vision.

Thats like saying a bottom of the table football team is the greatest coz they have the best stadium yet crap players. For a proper petrolhead a collection is about cars, for an architect its about the building.

Best video ever. What a spectacular building and design. The most interesting part of this process is the fact that we all at some point in our own lives have thought about a particular design on a specific project and upon completion say “ why didn’t we think of this”, well not in this case in the design of this building. There are things happening here that I know a lot of mechanics let alone engineers not think to add. Just phenomenal I am blown away by such thoughtful details. What a masterpiece. Great job literally on your behalf to have the opportunity to film and skill set to ask all the right questions. Great production

The “showroom” upstairs was jaw dropping, but I have to say, the workshop was the star of the show. If the attention to detail of the work the do on theirs in the workshop is anything like the thought and detail that went into the workshop then bloody hell he is above high-end.

I put off watching the video because of the length but that should be part 1, what an astonishing place some people are really blessed, as a mechanic the workshop is outstanding I would never go home. Next level video James

@MrJWW This is probably one of my favourite videos ever. This type of “nerdiness” or “OCD” is right up my alley. This guy & place has taken parts out of my playbook for sure.
I literally dream & plan all the time about my “money no object” or dream design garage / workshop / automotive Mecca. It’s really my hobby or character.
This place has touched on parts I have planned, even given me new ideas also..but even still my planned layout etc, would be the best in the world……egotistical maybe. But I only go for the best,my standards match it, and I always think, if you have the resources and aspirations then why stop at “alright” or “ok”. And that goes for materials to products to just everything.
Koenigsegg is my most favourite brand, and Ferrari second. The brand just has a certain hmm 🤔 thing you can’t put your finger on. It’s got a unique soul.
What most petrol heads etc ,what I see these days especially with young influencers/ social media posting etc is they really don’t get what a car is. It ain’t about production numbers, price tag, spec, colour, engine size etc.
Sure those things help, but for those of us that are true purists or connoisseurs. A car is a living, breathing entity. They each have a unique story. You can have two of the exact spec,colour….everything… off the line at the same time, and one will suit the colour,spec,etc and one won’t…one will sit a little differently in its being.
In the words of one James May, they have and give you a different “fizz”. And Koenigsegg I feel gives that soul & passion better than any other marque. Ferrari having lost it briefly I feel has/is returned.
I feel you get this type of sensory better than most.

Wow. I've been in the trade a while. I've been building my dream garage in my head, picking up things over the years. You know engineering goodies that just flat out plain work and work well. I have no money right now to do it. I don't even have the land. And unless I win the lottery It wont be soon but there's my dream. I just find it uncanny how everything I've made a paper list for is in this very workshop. (Apart from the clutter free type exhaust extraction) so thanks that's been noted! To think I was going to have multiple extraction pipes dangling at all times like my local Aston martin dealership! I wouldn't mind building something like this half the size for hobby purposes and a retirement income etc. Did I miss in the video how the space is heated? Seeing someone with such similar interest (albeit on a different scale I admit) is just so refreshing. I really nerd out on stuff like this. The problem is my requirements list keep getting bigger 😂. I'm only 27 so I hopefully have time to save save save. I broke my back NYD so not a great start to the year! Thank you for showing us around the best workshop I've ever seen. I've seen F1 workshops on here not as well equipped. Right I'm going to watch this again incase I missed something!

I have no words…🤯 Coming from someone who worked in a rare Aston Martin Classics garage for several years, this is incredible. I suspect I knew the owner as I heard rumours of his garage built into the side of a mountain, when we maintained his DB4GT Zag whenever he was in London. This is literally what garage dreams are made of 🤤
