My boyfriend just collects what he likes. He loves ❤funko pops.He only buys the pops that means the most to him.He dosent buy them to make money. He buys them to remind him of his childhood.Plus they are cute.
I'm working on that whole Collect What You Like guideline, there are many things that are just really cool sculpts and I want them, despite knowing little to nothing about the property they're based on.
Talking about responsible spending is always a great thing to be aware of. Companies are aware that their clients/consumers may not be able to afford the outright payments they offer. Therefore, they have come up with a solution. It is up to the individual to take note of their budget and try not to exceed their limits. You spoke about this topic in a very caring, sensitive manner. However, people will make their own decisions and may get carried away with these types of purchases that allow you to have the item delivered before you fully pay it off. Any type of credit falls into the category of responsible buying, but people can fall into a trap and suffer the consequences. More awareness is always a good thing as it enables us to refocus our priorities, and stop us from making mistakes. THANK YOU for taking the time to make this video. You didn't have to, but I am glad you did. God bless you❤
So tips I have ticks off so far. Budget spilt into monthly and list of older pops to consider , plus the bonus from saving change. Money set aside for SDCC box of fun. And I’m working on the meeting community members. You offer some great tips and I have followed your advice. Last year was my biggest change to my collection habits. And Space, I’ve got none of but I can always put up more shelves.
Awesome advice/tips on collecting. I myself are in the processes of selling more pops due to a lack of space and to get a few pops I really want to get. 🥰🌷🌷🌸💐
Very helpful as always and I started budgeting in the middle of the year and I did some of these steps by my own and learn a lot from this video. Been a fan since the beginning of 2023 and absolutely love your content. I am a huge Star Wars fan and Naruto fan. Keep up the great work
I started to collect Funko Pops last year and already know I need to downsize 😅. Space is super important and something I need to be more mindful of. One thing that helped me out so much as I collected in 2023 was adding to my collection when there were sales and using rewards when I could. In short, I try not to buy at full price. Thanks so much for this video and your tips!
Great tips John. Have a daughter going to college next year so I really had to have a budget on my pops. Last year I only bought two pops, but there were so many more I wanted. Lol
My 10yr old just started collecting funko pops i am fully supportive and will use these tips anything else that would help would be greatly appreciated
Really good tips. I feel a little weird going into this year because it seems like Soda releases are very limited at the moment. It feels good for the wallet and i guess opens up opportunities to go after some pieces we would like. Very helpful tips for all collectors of different hobbies. Awesome video!
This is a great video with some helpful tips. I love the 'list' suggestion, I'm making mine now. Collecting for me is the overall look and to make sure everything I buy, I'm happy to look at so my tip would be to 'buy what you like'. I've seen so many people buy for investment or potential profit. It's okay if you buy and sell for a living, but don't go after the items you think will go up in value.
Great tips John. Space is my big problem, so I do not buy as much as I used to. I`m much more picky in what I want. Thanks for sharing your good tips. 👍🏼😃
Hey love your channel, and your content. One thing I recommend you wearing a mic. You won't have to yell as much and your voice won't sound as echoed. No biggie just small suggestion.
Hey John, I am sorry but I have to disagree with you on Klarna and Zip. As someone who has used those options many times, you get the item prior to finishing payment. Unless the terms have changed, you do not have to wait until you are done paying to get the item you purchased. Fees on the other hand, those can totally stack up and you end up paying way more than you originally anticipated. Thanks :)
Yes you are correct on that, you do get the item prior to finishing the payments. However, I am still against it because of the late fees and extremely high interest. Thank you for watching 🙌🏻
@@Slapshotpopstotally understandable! Great video and thank you for the amazing tips, definitely going to consider doing the monthly budget so that I can hopefully get a ghostface pop at some point. :)
Got a preorder tip. In the name of Deadpool DON'T preorder items at GameStop stores website ONLY. We all know what's going on at GameStop randomly closing stores and whatever if you have a pre-order at that store and it suddenly closes you're out whatever money you put down for that pre-order.
I don't have a wish list as such. I just hunt for Star Wars pops and go for the one within my monthly budget and buy it. Plus I only buy one, maybe two pops a month as I look forward to my monthly pop hunt despite I'm saving for my car. I do get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Hey there’s nothing wrong with that! You’re doing great by saving up for a car. Funko pops are secondary to essentials that you need like a vehicle that you can drive to work. Thanks for watching!
I made a list pop and sodas that I want to go after in 2024. It end up being about 50 of I did not think about breaking it down small . thank for the advice. I like going to toy show.
What did you guys think of these tips?
Good pointers 💪🏽
A collection of really great tips. I have now made a list of Pop goals for this year. 🙂👍
Great points. Its always good to downsize and just keep the pops you like

Good call out on Zip and Klarna.

I’ve noticed that funko sodas are being less popular and their values is going down
Which ones in particular?

I have a feeling the common funko pops will be rare in the future because people won't be keeping them or opening them
Possibly! We’ll see as time goes on
I had won a photo of the day like 2 years ago and thats where I had gotten my AP soda from.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing
No problem at all. I was shocked when I had gotten the package in the mail and then opened the Soda and it was an AP Darkseid
