There is just something about the ford falcon commercials that I love.

As seen on "THE FORD SHOW" in the fall of 1960. Paul Frees, announcer.
Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" characters were used to promote Ford automobiles- on TV, and in print- from 1959 through 1964.

In the Peanuts specials Linus didn’t have the New York accent. Both Christopher and Stephen Shea gave Linus Van Pelt that humble voice that he so much deserved!!!

I hope to restore my mom's some day soon. It was her high school car. 1961 1/2 model. And it's all original almost nothing touched on it except the floorboard shifter was moved to the "3 on the tree" and the bench was replaced with bucket seats

Based on what I could find, the two-door 61 Falcon cost $1,1912. You could get the four-door for $1,974. That's a bit more than $20,000 in today's dollars. I don't know what $20,000 would buy you at the showroom these days, maybe the Pepsi machine?

At 1:07 thats pretty embarrassing how this car was made in 1961 and both gas and oil milage in todays cars still hasn't improved

The joke of exploding fuel to move is why it's ALWAYS been a fail. VERY inefficient. And dirty. And political. Maybe 8% of the energy gets to the wheels and the rest all that exploding heat wasted. (over 90% EV motor gets to wheels) 100 years of constant wars basically for fossil waste is the embarrassing bit. People are stupid. Imagine where we'd be today if battery tech was worked on for 100 years? Obviously a battery with 30 second recharge and 600-1000 mile range easily w/solid state and super caps. But no, people chose to be sheep, wasting billions a year on Oil & Wars.

@@cuda426hemi Up to 30 MPG - with underpowered engine, no A/C, prob manual transmission - bare bones. Today heavier cars loaded with safety and comfort extras get 30 MPG. But yes, it hasn't improved as much as it should have.

A friend of mine had a couple old Peanuts comic books. In those early additions, Shultz included thought bubbles with Snoopy. He used to refer to Charlie Brown as: "The round-headed kid." I can't recall how old they were (it was a long time ago) but they were pretty cool to look through.

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven.

Basically that new piece of crap $200k Mustang can trace it's roots directly to the lowly UK Ford Cortina. Falcon was a Cortina and 1st gen Mustang was a Falcon. 🤡
