- In January 2012, Clarke became the fifth Australian to score a Test triple century. The skipper came to the crease with the Aussies in a spot of bother but dug in to produce a classic innings
The video started with Australia 3/38 and finished with Australia 4/659. Meaning from that point Australia got 1/621. Literally incredible

The best thing about this innings was how unselfish it was. Clarke could've easily made 400+ but he declared early in order to give his team the best possible chance.

Worst days for indian cricket. An uninterested captain, ageing senior players, worst fast bowling attack and a defensive mindset. Ever since kohli was made the captain this kind of thing has never ever happened again to us.

Brilliant knock. I will never forget those horror memory of 2012. In an absolutely flat Australian pitch India's line length and field placing was like that on green pitch in England. Bowlers had pace ,but bowled too outside off or at leg stump, didn't use the crease a lot.
When your lead bowlers are Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav, there's very less that you could do
It was a pleasure to watch Clark's & Virat's innings in this series
India's bowling was horrendous in that series. Bowling a full line and too wide outside off. Remember that horror 2012 series where only Kohli got a ton. We had good batsmen but their bowlers were up to the task. The less said about our bowling the better. Nothing to take the credit away from Clarke though. 300+ is no joke. You still have to score those runs and he capitalized on the poor bowling efforts. A marathon innings to dig Australia out of the pit, into the sun and dry India's bowlers out. One for the ages.
Then india won back to back 10 years later crazy the time. I’ve been following ind vs aus for a while. I remember 2011-12 series and I saw the 2020-21 series it really is amazing how the Indian team has changed in 10 years

Yes, i believe that it was still the Slazenger bat but because his contract was up with them he played without the stickers on it (still using Slazenger gloves) then he played with spartan the game after this (and slazenger stickers the game before)

I don't think many players would sacrifice a crack at the record books for the good of the team. A great innings from Clarke, but I think he had enough time to score a few more runs, at least till tea. 7 innings should've been enough to bowl India out, the extra hour wouldn't make much of a difference.

The england tour and followed by the australia tour during 2011-12 was really some dreadful cricket I have ever seen played by India. Most of the defeats are either by an innings or by 300 runs. Dhoni's test captaincy seriously tested during that time and he never lived upto expectations. He may be one of great white ball captain won all icc trophies but his test captaincy was always below par.

As a West Indian, when I'm asked who is my favourite Australian batsman, Michael Clarke, is always my reply. The man was just easy on the eyes and a gritty player. This innings was one of the most flawless triple hundreds I have ever seen.

I remember being 8 years old and watchig this. Absolutely sublime, watching ricky ponting, michael clarke and michael hussey bat. Absolutely brilliant.
I did doubt Clarke as Captain but this proved me wrong completely. What i want is consistency. I don't expect him to get hundreds every innings but when Ponting became captain he scored hundreds quite regularly and then went on to make double hundreds too. Clarke needs to perform like that, make a 50, get a hundred, get a hundred make 150+ even 200.

This is the worst series for india... consecutive white washes after World cup victory. Except kohli no one showed fight. wayward and lacklustre bowling , all batsman lost form and reflexes were slowed down may be due to age...very poor captaincy from MSD. It's an utter flop show from india .
