- In November of 2008, The Atlantis Resort and Palm Island in Dubai held their Grand Opening. The finale to the evening's private party was the largest 3D hi-definition video projection in 5.1 surround-sound ever done. very typical of Dubai I know coz I used to live there), lots of money thrown a potentially amazing idea, but never executed properly. What a waste of video mapping if you can't make the building look like it's being manipulated...this is done that naff it looks like they used a regular projector...
