Hi Patti. Great and indepth interview with Jonathan Casillas. Thank you for setting it up and for him to have such in depth analysis of the Giants' (defensive) play. I really like that he doesn't use stats, like so many other analysts do. He uses his own experience and projects that to what he sees on the field. He gives perspectives I haven't heard before, which are refreshing! I.e.: you have to learn to play with certain players, not only within a certain scheme. I think that goes a long way with what you say, that the starters need more reps in off season. It's not only how to play in a scheme, but to learn how everyone else is playing within that scheme. Looking forward to part 2, tomorrow.
Great Patricia, Jonathan is a great football spokesman! In my opinion though, his analysis speaks more to coaching or lack thereof, and that ultimately falls on Daboll. But from what I'm reading, Schoen and Daboll will return in 2025, so I don't expect much of a change for the team.
Nice podcast.......... Its official the Atlanta Falcons are starting Michael Pennix this Sun vs the Giants............. If Michael Pennix.... BALLS OUT against the Giants....... a QB that the Giants passed up on,,,,,,,, this will be the justification to....... FIRE EVERYONE........
Secondary is mediocre, LBs are bad tacklers. I think the glaring issue is Thibs and Burns don’t play the run well but then don’t pressure qb as they should. We knew how shanes defense ran and didn’t put the correct 4 Dline combo together. Dex fits in any scheme and is an amazing player. Rest of the Dline doesn’t fit Shanes scheme.
Medical staff is one of the best in the business. It's up to the players to take care of their own bodies. Very few players do. They give them diets and workout programs.
The medical staff missed Evan Neal's broken ankle last year. The strength and conditioning staff needs to be replaced. Thibodeaux, JMS, Flott, Hawkins, and Ezuedu all needed to bulk up and didn’t. Injuries are way too prevalent.
The med staff never did a CT scan when the injury originally happened. The medical staff wants to say it was a hot spot that broke right before they did a CT scan, but many believe it was broken all along and thats why it didnt improve. Either way, it turned out to be a bad decision for the medical staff to let an OT play with the ankle injury without a scan.
Poor tackling, withBurns and Thibo repeatedly taking an inside route to the QB, getting trapped inside by bigger, stronger offensive linemen, exposing the outside to big gains by running backhand quarterbacks has been a major issue. I observed both Thibo and Burns getting trapped inside surrendering big gains around their corner on runs on 4 plays in just one offensive series.
@CharltonHarley 🎯. Exactly! Brian Burns will go down as another bad trade by Schoen, and Kayvon and Burns are replicas of each other where they both tend to disappear for games and can't stop the run. Why are we paying a DE 25mil a year for a 2-12 team?
@@jbthc The problem being, both Burns and Thibo are undersized edge rushers, who often get man-handled by much larger, more powerful offensive linemen. Neither will ever be mistaken for a LT, Bruce Smith or Reggie While, who were game changing generational talents, all time greats.
@@jbthc Burns is just a piece, who makes splash plays on occasion, he also has to be in a scheme with other good pieces to be affective. he is not a difference maker.

Thanks Patty! Awesome interview with JC! Loved the knowledge he provided.
Always like listening to Jonathan who has been a guest on the FAN.
Great interview Patty!

I will like to see up first starting: Burns, Chatman, Durden, Rakeem Nunez-Roches, and Mcfadden. I promise you will see a difference in the DL
I thought you meant a real Giants not this guy I remember him being a Patriot still good interview
@@tomaxxamot2016 he was a Giant co-captain. I mean come on, that’s gotta count for something.
A good starter for Giants 3 years and helped get them to playoffs in 2017.
He was a decent replacement level type player. I was surprised when he stuck around and got a media career with the giants.
They are missing Dexter, Okarikai and Banks
@CharltonHarley Great info, Penix starting over Cousins is bombshell. Cousins is making $45mil/yr $100mil guar. Wow!
fortunately the Falcons have an exit from Cousin's contract after next yr. an expensive one but an exit none the less
@CharltonHarley Eating $50mil is more of a taking it in the exit plan.
@@Thagomizer-U235 Denver did it with Russ, the Eagles did it with Wentz....... and they both turned around quickly
@CharltonHarley Yeah, it's possible ATL might recover from bad contract.

The falcons actually have a good line. Penix or ANY quarterback would stink on the Giants. And this podcast tells you why the defense ALSO sucks

Can we draft a new medical staff?

Big mistake making a deal for Burns........ he is the type of player that is a missing piece for playoff contention......... not a 3-4 win team

A good DC can turn this around. Both men are very talented.
