I bought one just for fall turkey season it sure brings in old Tom turkey with a gobbler Yelp
Just bought the gen 2 funky chicken on sale for $19.98 at Walmart. Can't wait to take it out.

I've used the gen1 for several years with great success. I usually put a flextone hen decoy sitting flat on the ground (breeding position) about 3-4 feet in front of the FC (Funky Chicken). Sometimes, I put out a second hen on a regular stake nearby as a confidence builder. Every big tom goes straight to the FC decoy and fan all around it, peck at its head, kick it and do the wing slap. The decoys are about 11-13 yards in front of me. Hence, most of my shots are at 11-13 yards. Just bought a gen 2 FC for this spring hunt. I may try some unusual setups using both the gen 1 and the gen 2.

I passed this decoy time after time because it does look ‘funky’…but you just sold it to me. Heading out to buy one.
I just bought a jake and hen combo. And I was surprised on the detail of this decoy. It was the cheapest one at Cabela's at 79 bucks. But I say it was well worth it.
Worked for me, sat him over a cheap Wally world hen and it was over at 7 o'clock this morning..no need to break the bank on decoys, save that money. I've hunted with the popular brands with buddies and yeah they work, but so do the cheap ones
This paired with a cheap hen decoy is money well spent. If a male bird sees it they come in fast. I had a Jake fight mine for over an hour two days in a row. Last year I killed three mature toms, all over the funky chicken.

I got this thing on sale at Walmart and I took it out once but I didn’t have a bird come by. But I’ve been wondering if I need anything else or should I even take it.

Have you tried pairing it with 2 hens? This fall season here in New Mexico my plan is to pair this with 1 flextone breeder hen and 1 flextone feeding hen. Thoughts?
Works good with either 1 or 2 hens. Read my comments for more information. Good hunting this spring.
This weekend I had 3 gobblers come out the first morning but they acted like they was scared of the decoy the 2nd morning we took it out and we had 6 jakes come right up to just a hen
What hen did you pair this with? I've never used Decoys and want to try.

That is an alert posture. I think it would spook more turkeys than it would attract
I've used one of these the last 4 years. Bagged gobblers with it each year. Easy to carry and quickly set up but I only use it the first week of the season.
It scares Tom's. I used it 3 times and it scared all the turkeys that I called in. It doesn't work.
