- This is a full playthrough of Sonic & Knuckles playing as Knuckles. I tried to not go Hyper Knuckles or whatever he's called so it doesn't ruin the video with that repetitive music, I get a lot of complaints about that in my other Sonic longplays.

I like how they gave Sonic and Knuckles their own individual starts and finishes; Sonic's continuing his task from the previous game whereas Knuckles is after whoever bombed his home
And trying to get back the stolen emerald
Wait, knuckle's home is bombed? Thats mean
I thought Knuckles story is after Sonic’s but it’s not clear

Fun fact: eggman was the flying battery act 2 boss because they had no egg robo facing forward sprites, in sonic origins they fixed that and made egg robo sprites for the act 2 boss

I loved this game so much when I was a kid. To me Knuckles was always so much cooler than Sonic! Thanks for the upload ♥

Sonic & Knuckles was my first game I ever bought at Funcoland back in 2000. The only reason why I bought this game is to play as Knuckles the Echidna. I was getting tired of playing as Sonic and Tails and that's why I bought this game.
As annoying as he was the only perks you had as Tails was the flying and swimming. Sonic just jumped and had that whoosh/flash thing
I remember playing this in Sonic Mega Collection on GameCube
Sonic 3 and Knuckles and Sonic and Knuckles has the same identity, same music, and personality

Fun fact: the reason eggnan is fbz2 boss is because knuckles isn't supposed to go there,but the game would only include 3 knuckles zones making the game short,and so there he is.

Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles was meant to be one entire game but the cost of cartridges forced the developers to split it. The lock on cartridges were really advanced for it's time though.

Atleast the devolpers add knuckles in sonic 2 because if people like knuckles and sonic 2 you can use the lock on system from sonic and knuckles with sonic 2
Both the hardware and game development and were ahead of their time. The cartridge allowed you to mix games, and they formed a story arc

Takes me right back to childhood...putting sonic 2 on top of this cartridge blew my mjnf , thought it was the most advanced technology of all time..lol fast forward 15 years we all have computers with mega high-speed Internet capabilities in our pockets that can do 100x more than the Sega genesis ever did...things I could only dream of as a kid is now our normal every day reality. How cool is that??
Honestly, I’m kinda salty that we haven’t done more with the concept of “Lock On”, since digital actually makes that EASIER. There’s been some examples, but not as many as I’d personally like to see

No matter how many Sonic characters Sega tries adding to it's already too big of a cast NONE of them will ever come close to the original four. Sonic Tails knuckles and Eggman.

You gotta get all seven of the chaos emeralds. I've never gotten all seven of them any of the times I ever played this game.. But now I can say that I played and beat this game on hard mode several times. XD Because every time I ever beat this game, it was without the ability to go Super. XD

I remember buying this when it came out but for some reason I never finished it. I don’t like it as much as Sonic 1-3. The music and levels just aren’t as fun to me.

cool video and all, but just play sonic 3 and knuckles instead of get sonic and knuckles if you are looking to buy sonic and knuckles. the full version is just the best way to play it. simple as that.
