You earned a subscription from me. What you are doing seemed unrealistic and only possible on TV shows. You show regular home shops can do this. Now you have me looking and thinking about doing this.
Yeah, I have a 2006 Cadillac Escalade in the backyard that we bought for my son and we're gonna do a square body. On the frame short bed stepside And when I was doing research I came across you're 67.@Rustomod
Im so glad i subscribed to this channel awhile back. This dude does some cool builds that any of us at home could do if we wanted to. Actually realistic builds. Nothing that u need a whole fab shop to build 😂😂. Keep up the great work my friend. And much love to ya from Maryland❤❤❤
I love how cheap you're doing this build. Really motivating seeing as how cheap a rusted out GM truck is, combined with a cheap old C60 for just your labor. Could have something for just a few grand and a winter project running/driving by car show n cruise season. Looks really fun!
Now that you have to modify the cab mount out front it is a good time to look at doing a tilt front end. I did that on my 1965 C50. It’s easy to support the rad from the cab I bolted the hood shut and the to cal pieces to the back of the hood. I relocated the battery to the frame rail under the passenger door behind the step My truck is a C.O.E so it make working under the hood easy
dude i just finished road tripping my 64 gmc home to NJ from AZ, we hit Cali first and FL, towing an old 63 camper. I built the truck in Tucson you got me looking for a C60 now I'd love to do a GMC and have a big version of my 64! @@Rustomod
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. I'm preparing to do a very similar swap with my 57, 4100 into my 1994 K3500 dually. I'm still contemplating going the same route you did or would it be better to cut the firewall and floor from both cabs and grafting the 57 cab onto the 94 floor and firewall so that all the steering, nv4500 linkage, brakes, etc. all stay factory? Also, new subscriber of course.
I always liked the c60s when I was younger. I wanted to lower it like you are, but instead of flat bedding, it get a camper. you're doing great work though keep the content coming. Your views will grow.
@@Rustomodboat trailer rollers work also and can be cut to length desired , we bought them at an army surplus store back in the late seventy and early eightys for three dollars a piece
Would you rather have videos less often or longer? I try to post every week but if I make them longer and get more done in and episode I could do every other week?
Love what you are doing but those solid white wheels detract from all of the work you’ve done. It looks like you are running car trailer rims on your truck.
I saw another guy on UA-cam paint his wheels black then painted a white circle about an inch from the bead to mimic whitewalls giving it the look of taller tires without making them taller. As I watched him (in disbelief) I was amazed how well it turned out. You might like this, talk about thinking outside the box! ua-cam.com/video/7K3Edg99lVQ/v-deo.htmlsi=60-lhHnTy-UTb7gA

I'm glad you think so! I hope it inspires other people to build things too.

Perfect project for midwesterner’s there are billions of c60s and Silverado’s in every farm town
Who else here slams the thumb up button before watching? 😁
Finally a good consistent and relatable UA-camr showing how to build something with tools people actually have
Yep!
Say that again
This is looking great! Can’t wait to see more of this project!
Appreciate it, I’m excited to build it too!
Nice job

Thanks for following!
Love it! Big trucks have really grown on me in the last 3-4 years.
They're really cool trucks!

That's the goal, cheap and fun!
Man! You got that sitting gooooood! That's a great looking truck! ✌️😎
Appreciate it!
Hockey pucks make good body bushings.... pretty cheap too...
As a lover of all things 2nd Gen C series (I have a '68 C-10 long bed), the first video of this glorious beast grabbed my attention. I am loving this.
Thanks, they are awesome!
Plumb bobs and laser level would be good tools to utilize at this point. Cool build.
I've got a 60 c50 Viking that I would love to do this to. Or sell it to someone who would. 😎🤙
Looking legit!
Always loved chassis swaps and this one is shaping up to be a awesome ride.
I’m hoping it turns out awesome!
Looks killer!
Thanks man!!
Hey rustomod,I love your vídeos,I am from Brazil, and I like watching your videos! Happy New Year and God your blessing!
Thanks for watching!
Looks good
Great work as always bro!!!
Appreciate it!
That looks like a great Scrap box score. Gotta love the scrap boxes at work. Those look like those would be awesome to use
I love this
New subscriber good video love old trucks
Appreciate it! I do too!
Awesome project!! I am building a 1969 GMC Longhorn on a 2009 4x4 chassis with a 4.8LS.
That’s awesome!
Awesome like what you doing I'm thinking about doing basically the same thing I got a 1968 C60 2000 Tahoe frame
Awesome

I would shorten the wheel wells and maybe lower the top down some or put C10 fenders on it
Brooooooo!!! Yessssss! This is my dream build! I mean- a C60 on a modern chassis! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I know right? It’s a dream!
YEA! budget build to the massive. looking cool, will be one cooll bad build.
Thanks
I’ve been waiting for this video! Great to see you’ve made progress on the build and can’t wait to see more! God bless y’all and Happy Holidays! 🎉
Thanks for the support! I’m hoping this will be a really fun project!
I would put it on big semi wheels on front and back.
Very nice!
Coming together nicely
Thanks!
@@Rustomod no problem. Love the content
Great build and great video homie 👊🏻
Thanks!
Dona burnout!
when it comes to projects like this the golden rule is its only metal cut, bend or move because its no big deal .
You know it!
Dope build!
Appreciate it!
looks awesome dude!
Thank you!

Did you perchance consider tractor wheels and some supersingle tires? they make them pretty low profile but they are wide enough to fill that fender.
Ugh... Hurry up and release the next episode! 😂
Awesome man! I dig this build!
Thanks man!
This is my kind of build, down and dirty cheap..ish.. back yard build.
Yep!
Cool truck
Thanks!
Good work
Thanks
👍😁
Front wheel still looks forward in the wheel well. Nice work though :)
It’s a weird shape it’s centered but once it fills in more with a bigger tire it will look correct

Looks good. What are you going to do for a bed? A late 70's, early 80's stepside bed would look good on there.
I’m not sire yet gonna try a few things
Just a thought raise the steps up by half
Yes I’m thinking that
I think if you are going to do this again you may want to buy some plumb-bobs. It's looking good so far.
I used one just forgot to video it
What's your plan for the bed and rear tires?
Gonna run a wide single wheel not sure might try to make the old flat bed work
@Rustomod nice!
Nice swap, happy holidays Cade…🤝
Why not Z the frame horns? Can't wait to see it finished. Are you going flat bed?
It’s only holding the bumper basically I didn’t think it was that necessary but you could
Yes flat bed

I’ve seen where guys use hockey pucks for body and bed mount bushings , I don’t think that they would give much.
Haha that’s a idea

2:24 But do you have any eels?!?
Need more than 20 minutes...longer videos plz

how long do i have to wait for the next part of the video.? Lol
I try to post every Friday
What the sense of thr step ups?
Could of hung some string down so see ur centerline alot better brother
I have a plum bob I was measuring for a few days I forgot to video it
No audio about the last 10 minutes??
Might be an issue on your end first comment I’ve seen saying that
C10 fenders and step delete would have eliminated most of this vid.
🇧🇷
maby ya can take a bit out of the side stepers
I’m debating that
Love what you are doing but those solid white wheels detract from all of the work you’ve done. It looks like you are running car trailer rims on your truck.
They attract too much attention to the cost savings. Paint them black.
Yeah they’re just temporary wheels for now! Only ones I had that are the size
@@Rustomod ah nice. Yeah that trucks sick.
Would you sell for say 10k ? Asking for a friend 😂
Jetted out?
I'm sure you meant "jutting out." 😄👍
Looks really stupid when it’s low!
Looks terrible!
