    Great job Jake! They are gorgeous...We had a huge avacado in the corner of our property when i was growing up but sadly aa a child never ate avacado...what a waste. Making up for it now as I have 7 organic seeds toothpicked and waiting for rooting to begin.

    Very great job Jake. I'm originally from a tropical country. I eat avocado since when I was a young kid, but I only heard about guacamole when i'm already here in the U.S.. In my country, we use avocado for shakes and smoothies, or we also add other kind fruits. my favorite combination is avocado and mango. My American husband loves it.

    Great job on those trees. Avocados can be more difficult than other trees. I have three currently doing well and growing like crazy with the summer heat in Florida. I have a Simmons (type a), Brogdon (type b), and a Choquette (type a), which you had a video on. Thanks for your very valuable tips for successful gardening. Maybe soon I'll start my video vlog on my ever growing food forest.

      sealuva I only went to Florida once in my life and didn't get to try many avocados. I hear they are a little different than our California ones. I also heard they do better in the CA soil vs the FL which has less clay. but still I think it's cool they have so many varieties we don't have here. Idk why but I think California is terrified of unchecked crops coming in and spreading diseases to what we have already. Agriculture in California is serious business.

    • @RichAlvaradoDR
      @RichAlvaradoDR 7 років тому +1

      I hear ya Col. Cotton Hill. Mending the soil is the key to growing most things here as we have very sandy soil. Florida has lost tons of citrus crops due to diseases. I have some citrus growing and keep a close eye on them. The avocados down here are awesome, they just don't ship as well as the California Haas, but off the tree they taste amazing.

    I’ve killed two avocado trees that I feel so bad about but now that I know how to garden and about plants and trees in general I have one avocado tree that is alive and thriving in its second year in the ground. I’ve placed wood chips mulch since last year and has been thriving thereafter. I’m excited!!!

Dont take flowers off as if they set will drop what they dont want or cant hold naturally - I have custard apples this year maybe first time in Melbourne )now size of billiard ball and Sapodillas now size of a pea - so cool

    Thats really cool,Jake!I am excited for you.I planted a avacado tree from seed.Its now about 4' tall.But its been indoors the last couple years.I want to transplant it to outside.But am afraid I will do it wrong and all my hard work will be for nothing.I live up the road a few miles from you.So we have the same conditions.Any advice on how I should go about this?I really wanna buy some "maces mix" as well before I do this.Should I mix some manuer as well?What time of year is best to transplant to outdoors?What time of day/moon cycle ?I have done quite a bit of reading on this but its always from differant regions.Thought it would be smarter to ask for advice from someone up the road from vs across the country/planet.Any advice is super appreciated.My wife and I have been enjoying your videos for a couple years now btw.We appreciate your enthusiasm for the good health and well being of our collective community and the human family in general.Good job bro!

    Great video jake😊👍 love all your videos man.I was wondering, have you considered growing lucuma in your place, I know you grow mango and I think lucuma is slightly hardier than mango but don't quote me on that. You might of heard of lucuma before but in case you haven't, it tastes like maple syrup with a canistel fruit type texture and although being sweet it has no effect on your blood sugar levels. Might be worth checking out buddy😊
