- Finally I answer all the questions about what the heck I'm talking about.
I hope this helps you to better understand the costs associated with airplane ownership.
For costs to own specific airplanes, take a look at my other videos here:

Thanks for watching
Thank you! Your videos are so amazing for the GA community! Please keep them coming!
Hi, Thanks so much. That's very kind of you. Cheers
@@CompleteWalkaround can you do Cessna citation x it’s one of my favorite planes
I love this channel because so much aviation content is so antiquated, this is quick, entertaining, and succinct. Love it
Thanks James, I appreciate it
I really appreciate how you can wring out a 2-3 hour conversation with a know-it-all pilot into a 5 minute lecture AND still be entertaining, well done.
“Just fill’er up and fly until your bladder explodes.” 😂😂🤣😂
Notification squad

This channel has been such an amazing resource for the GA-curious. Love your stuff and sense of humor.
I knew 90% of this stuff and still watched the whole thing. Your illustrations, humor, and above all, conciseness are youtube gems. Love it, love it, love it. Cant wait for the next one!
1:17 love the Denis Leary reference
That Denis Leary reference was spot on
"Big brown baby seal eyes"... awww, a nice Dennis Leary reference :)
I love this channel. My favorite on UA-cam! This info has brought me wife around to the idea we could own a GA plane!
I whole heartedly love these videos, theres amazing info and just the right flavor of humor, I’ll never have a plane of my own but I’ll watch these vids till you stop or I die
Thanks so much Matt. I appreciate it very much ✈
As someone who wishes he could get into aviation and enjoys this channel quite a bit, I do appreciate the breakdown.
Most of it was pretty self explanatory over time but just for thoroughness it's refreshing to see and hear
Thanks! As someone who knows nothing about flying I’ve enjoyed your short, funny to the point videos and now understand them a bit better
Hi, Thanks so much. I'm glad you like them. Thanks for watching!
This channel desives to be bigger
Awesome! I can't believe that cost of flying is not taught while you are getting your PPL
What part isn't taught??
@@rickc303 The one related to the cost of operation. At least thet's my experience in Europe (EASA syllabus).
I love this channel, he make the boring part of flying funny and interesting!
I really appreciate what you are doing for aviation markets! Information helps people make informed decisions!!
Thanks so much Tommy. I really appreciate what you're doing for this channel. Thanks very much for the support. It really helps me out
Great video! Hope someday we can see a video on the Piper Comanche! My dream plane
"The whole curling team." Love it.
This chanel just gets better and better!
Love it!
Excellent as always
Not sure why I am watching this, I dont even have a PPL yet.
That being said I would love a video on the DC-3🙃
I would love to see you make a video about the rankings of certain categories and your opinions on them
Awesome channel, great video, keep the shiny side up!
It would be nice to see a few videos on personal helicopters.
Excellent companion video to all of the other ones that you make. I think you might have been a bit sleepy when you wrote the last two sentences of the description though, just FYI
LOL! Love the Denis Leary song lyric reference.
This is so helpful
Regarding insurance; is the value shown for 1 owner operator? Would it be a worth while video to explain the multitude of options and or group ownerships 0:05
Really great layout for the noobs!! Yeah
you're videos are great .. and hilarious .. lol
Hell yeah!
Great Videos. Short and entertaining. Could you do one on the Soloy Turbine A36. Thanks
Love the Hutzpah factor! Question- where do you get your Purchase Price stats from?
From watching the market for 25 years primarily. In case you don't already know the biggest classified sites and quickest way to see the state of aviation nation are controller, trade a plane and Barnstormers
More warbirds, please! (Of dubious use to most people, but it’s nice to dream!)
- What is the depreciation curves of these planes? It's never listed. I'm supposing a C150 will hardly depreciate, while a brand new DA42 will lose more value.
- Fixed & Variable costs don't include the depreciation either, I presume.
- I think it should be included in "cost to own", given that it is a cost. An old plane for 100'000$ which will barely depreciate, flying at 1.5$/nm or a newer plane at 400.000$ which will lose perhaps 20.000$/year, flying at 1.5$/nm are not comparable, which is not clear from these tables.
I'm happy to be in a position to worry about what I can afford in aviation.
love it, thanks.
Could you do a video about turbine conversions and at which point they start to economically make sense?
great videos
Do you have any more single engine planes scheduled for further videos (do you have a public list of planned videos)? I am about to complete my PPL checkride and have been reviewing sale listings from time to time. Would hate to buy something and find out a month later a better choice was hiding out there. I have been building a comparison spreadsheet off your videos. Maybe like this general topic video, you could create a general topic overview of what makes and models are out there to consider, whether or not you reviewed them already. (Love your videos!)
No public list of future planes. My recommendation is to figure out what you can afford, then buy a plane that costs 50-70% of whatever that number was. You'll be happier in the end in my experience.
@@CompleteWalkaround I am training in a Piper Warrior PA-28-161. Videos make me consider the Grumman. I would be seeking best performance for lowest operating cost (plus some ‘feel good’ considerations) for
@@dojoswitzer what's the mission?
Love you and your channel … is it bad for you tubers to make videos that aren’t consistent with their normal content?
New problem: getting every viewer on this channel, both new and old to see this video.

Zenith 701?
I fly with a wide mouth bottle so I can have the fuel tanks full and empty my personal tank as needed.
NOTAM: To all persons watching this over or near an expensive electronic device, please be aware of spontaneous milk expulsion from nostrils.
8 USD per gal of avgas? That's cute.
Over here it ranges from 8.3 to 14.7 USD/gal (3.15 euro/liter)
😬
Until my bladder explodes? You mean i can't pee out the window?
Ok you've explained them, but I ain't gotta like em.
Duh😂
you're hilarious ... lol
Because I’m an ASSHOLE…….. lol
