The Supergoop also has chemical sunscreen ingredients (Zinc Oxide 13.58%, Homosalate 7.0%, Octisalate 5.0%) - I like that Ciele is just mineral.
Zinc oxide _is_ a mineral sunscreen ingredient, but I appreciate you posting the info.
Zinc oxide on darker skin gives all kinds of ashy. I can't even wear sunscreen without looking like the tin man.p.

The Supergoop Protec(Tint) is a sunscreen. Rather than trying it on like a skin tint, could you apply it like a sunscreen and see what kind of coverage it gives and how it behaves over a full day? I don’t think it makes the best sense to try it out like it’s a skin tint.
IMO, one of your primary strengths over other beauty influence channels is the comparison element. For most of us, there's a bottom to the bucket on spending. I don't buy a lot at the drug store because of formula and shade limitations, so I really want to know how the $$$ products from higher end brands perform against one another, as there is not alot of value for me in simply watch someone put a product on their face and ooh and ahhh over it. Thanks for bringing us this value and for your consistent honesty in sometimes having to say ~ skip it it's not worth it. I think alot of them are afraid if they say that, they'll get no more PR. Maybe. Don't know. But I come here for the comparisons. Keep it up, kiddo.

Can confirm that June is beautiful on olive skin but fades quickly! The skin tint though…never disappoints!

The big difference between the Ciele and Supergoop is exactly the amount of coverage, which in terms of sunscreen products (if you were to use it as a main sunscreen step) would be a benefit for the lower coverage one (supergoop). I can’t imagine using the amount of ciele you need for spf coverage, but you actually could use the quarter teaspoon of the super goop on your face for proper spf coverage and not look crazy.
But yes overall wasn’t impressed with the supergroup. Really reminds me of the Avene tinted spf in terms of feel.
I wore the Supergoop today as a sunscreen on my combo oily skin and it looked beautiful. It evened my skin tone and stayed mattified without being too dry or dewy.
@@ginarussell5077this is helpful. I have been wearing the Supergoop Glowscreen on my ‘no make up’ days with a Merit Flush balm, mascara and lip balm. I would be looking at the Protec(tint) as an alternative to the Glowscreen. So something less glowy and a higher SPF.
This is super helpful, as I have been wondering about both of these spf skin tints!

I don’t know about the efficacy of applying sunscreen with a sponge? I usually goop on the supergoop play then follow with a skin tint and it’s the perfect combo for my dry skin. I don’t know about relying on a skin tint for anything but a cute little skin enhancing. Definitely into the ciele!

You have to use more of the supergoop because it’s a sunscreen not a foundation and again for people with deeper skin tones products like this (especially in the US where our filters are decades behind the rest of the world) are much needed.

I agree with the folks saying they enjoy seeing you troubleshoot! A lot of us go through these same issues so I love seeing how you fix things! That pink blush is so pretty and shame it doesn’t stay. The Ciele tint is so pretty definitely trying it. I love that it has spf so it can top off my typical spf I wear!

Very interesting.
As an oily/combo gal, I *hated* the Ciele. It accentuated my texture and actually made my skin feel dry and tight. The color also seemed patchy.
Returned it so fast.
The blush was the same.
Broke my heart bc I had such high hopes.
As an oily/combo gal, I really enjoyed the Supergoop with a light layer of Huda Beauty powder.

Lovely look, as usual. I am still copying that peach eye with green liner, but today it was Rare Beauty Nearly Neutral with a blue shadow liner from the Target Morphe 5 pan in the blues. Not as striking as your combo, but still fun and pretty. You inspire! Thank you!

Which one would you select Ciele vs Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Tint?
I am "of the age" where I finally invested in a laser treatment to fade my hyperpigmentation. Now I must use SPF every day to protect that investment. I have tried a couple of mineral sunscreens (which are a must for me as standard sunscreens break me out) but they have been off the mark. Kackie is so in love with Ciele Tint & Protect that there is no way I am not going to try it. Fingers crossed it will be the one that works for me!
Troubleshooting Kackie helped me turn a chaotic situation into something lovely yesterday! I got the new Rituel de Fille concealer in the shade their consultant picked for me (105), and it was soooo light. So everything went off the rails, and I ended up using multiple bronzers and contours and intense quantities of coral blushes. And in the end I finally just looked human and lovely! Wild. So wild. Thank you for being the biblically accurate angel on my shoulder at the vanity 😘
Ugh. We need to be more Ron Swanson 'i know more than you (because I follow kackie)' I hope you can return or swap it out...
@@beatdizzy doubt it. This was one of their lab prerelease tester things. But it’ll be totally fine for brightening purposes, and again, I was able to make it work with the Kackie method of bringing back all the shadows and local color!

Could you do a short comparing the Kosas BB Burst and the Ciele Skin Tint? My Sephora doesn’t carry Ciele in store, and I’m trying to decide which one to get.
But the component for the Ciele is awful! I’m over droppers for foundation as they just get so messy. I’m almost done with my first bottle and don’t really want to buy it again despite loving the formulation.
Harvest in DM Groundwork palette also gives the same effect as the Ciele in June: I surprised myself with a tan look the other day when I used it as blush.
How would the ciele skin tint compare to the ilia skin tint with spf?
I'm actually enjoying the Protec(tint). I wish it were more sheer but need the SPF. I get decent spread using my fingers. That said, now you've got me wanting to try the Ciele. Dang it, Kackie!
Hi Kackie! I also am so sensitive to Octinoxate, I flake and peel after just 1 use. Do you need to use sunscreen under the Ciele?? Are you able to use enough to get the 50 SPF??
The MILK makeup cream stick is one of the few items that I fully gave to my 6 year old because I can’t figure out when or why I would put it on my face. She, however, looks amazing in it - totally unbridled, unhinged, full-face application…major David Bowie vibes…like, she could probably point her MILK makeup face to the sky and receive signals from space. Worth it.
YES. Could we maybe get a comparison of all the popular (mineral) SPF skin tints? These 2 of course, but Live Tinted dropped a new SPF50 skin tint, the Saie slip is SPF35. I love the Ciele one.

I have the Ciele blush in Giselle and mix it with a little concealer and it looks the same as January.
I have a whole graveyard full of lipglosses that are disappointing. I’m waiting for Haute Cocoa to come back. I just ordered my shampoo at Sephora and Makeup by Mario just launched a Master Mattes Neutral (cool) palette. I’m not an impulse buyer but I was trying to talk myself out of buying the Ethereal Eyes palette, (too many celestials. I’m 67 and cool toned.) when I saw the new release I didn’t hesitate to get it. I bet it sells out quicker than Ethereal Eyes. I love the grey color in it. Pleeeease review it. I need your guidance on the colors in it. I’m learning so much from you about what will look good on me ! Thanks. 💕
I love using a super cool toned blush to fix weird bronzer colors. Anytime I feel my bronzer is pulling too olive or dark, I slap some blush on all over, and it neutralizes so beautifully. This is coming from someone who is not a blush girly and avoids pink like the plague 😂

I find the blush lasts longer if I use the YSL blur primer and fix + setting spray at the end. MAC has a stay all day fix + , I m going to try it and see if it is even better

I comment on you and tom's channel asking about blurring way too much. Trying to build out a whole new routine centered on blurring thats also airy with a slight dew. My thought was:
VB Primer in bronze
Sisley blurring powder used as a primer
Ciele skint tint (or is another more blurring but leaves a dew finish? I mix nudestix and fenty ATM)
Sisley blurring powder to finish in target areas
Danessa yummy blush
Gucci bronzer
If you think there are more optimal blurring options for any of these please let me know!!

Do you have the name of the content creator that tested to see how much foundation one would need to provide adequate sun protection? Curious to know, I am very fair and did some anti aging treatments a few years ago. Staying out of the sun is huge for me-Trey

Hey Kackie, the Ciele website doesn't discuss undertone. I'm stuck between the lightest 3 shades. Do you have a comment on those undertones? (I can't purchase Ciele in Sephora Canada so this is a gamble purchase for me)
Hi! I have seen the 3 lightest shades in person at sephora and I myself have purchased shade 3. I am usually fair-light and neutral-warm leaning. The lightest shade is your true porcelain/very fair. Shade 2 runs more pink and shade 3 is a more neutral-warm. It’s not super neutral but not super warm a good in between in my opinion. For reference I would be somewhere between nc15-nc20 in MAC and Gobi-deuville in NARS (but none of those shades are as good as shade 3 in the ciele skin tint for me) I personally tend to have a hard time finding neutral foundations that don’t pull too pink & most warm foundations pull too yellow for me. Shade 3 is incredible if you fall in that light skin neutral-warm category.
I am actually on my second bottle of shade 3. This skin tint is honestly incredible and feels so good on the skin/great ingredients ! 10 out of 10 recommend.

The Milk Makeup Kush lip oils feel so redundant! Thanks for confirming. I already got the cookie dough one out of curiosity, and I was sort of appalled I paid $36 CAD for it. I don’t like it any better than the Tower 28 clear gloss which was $22 CAD. I really don’t see the point of Milk releasing all those different flavors of lip oil when they look identical on the lips; the product photos on the Sephora website for each color (applied to the lips) seem to be literally the same photo lol. Why not at least make the tint of each one meaningfully differ? You can have a relatively sheer formula that at least has SOME discernible pigment on the lips.

I wish these foundations had no spf in them. Especially if they can’t protect you from the sun, as we can’t use that much to do it.

Hyaluronic acid in the Supergoop, not for me :( why does this ingredient have to be so trendy!? Even though it basically does nothing and can even dry your face out or, as in my case, cause a reaction. The Ciele works pretty well for me
I’m glad you pointed that out because I never check ingredients. My mature dehydrated skin (environment) loves hyaluronic acid but I always apply Bobbi Brown hydrating face tonic before applying products. I will try the Supergoop Protec(tint) as a less glowy higher SPF substitute for my Supergoop Glowscreen on no make up days. I apply with my fingers and I want more product for the higher SPF.
I feel like Milk makeup gets their product ideas from free associating with Toddlers. "Lip Gloss" --"Cookie dough"

This or that? Ciele vs Ilia skin tints!
I've tried both, and they're both great but very different! The Ilia one is the epitome of moisture and glow. It's *quite* shiny, but feels delightfully hydrating on the skin and really soothes my sensitive rosacea skin. The Ciele has a much thinner, more slippy texture, blends in very quickly, and while it offers coverage, it looks like absolutely nothing on the skin and has a very natural finish.
Is anyone else bothered by the way the Ciele blushes smell? January actually looked beautiful on me and stayed well for 6 hours until I took it off, but I couldn’t get myself to use it again because it smelled like puke. Basically if the smell doesn’t bother you it’s a fantastic blush!
My supergoop will be going on my legs! I look like I'm auditioning for gold finger. Not flattering.😅

We swatched the lightest shade supergoop for my partner and the olive shade for me yesterday and both looked kinda grey on us, I assume because of the high amount of zinc oxide
