I'm gonna try my new press tomorrow im so excited but i want to make sure for the 20oz cup (pyd cups) you did 356* for 60 seconds then turn and 60 more seconds?
Yes, we did precisely that. Check with the manufacturer recommendations and adjust upon your experiences and needs. There are quite the variations in time and temp recommendations. Happy crafting
great Video on this tumbler press i really enjoy you both love how you work together. I just ordered this tumbler on Saturday, and I was checking the reviews and after looking at this video I feel confident that i chose the right one once again Thank You 😊😊
Woo hoo! Thanks so much for your comment. We’re so glad this gave you confidence in your purchase! We have a detailed video on pressing a tumbler in this press that you may want to check out when it arrives. ua-cam.com/video/v616VVW3m84/v-deo.html
You can, as long as the glass is made to handle being Sublimated. Check out this video. It also has links for sublimation glass ua-cam.com/video/lhvZjaxtvmU/v-deo.html
We justl purchased this mug press. We have tried a dozen times using a 15 oz mug with an image that covered most of the mug. The only problem we are having is that the edges next to the handle are not vibrant. Is there a specific distance we need to keep from the handle?
Great video. I purchased this machine, but I am experiencing extreme smoke and smell. I use it in a well ventilated area, but the smell gives me a headache (w/wearing a mask). Do you experience a bad smell each time you use the machine? 🤷🏽♀️
We had a smell but mostly only the first few times we used it. While pressing, we only see the minimal vapors that come from sublimation ink. If you're experiencing extreme, then maybe contact them and see about exchanging.
I just purchased this press. I have always use a convection oven, but unfortunately it died. I tried the settings it ways in the book and my tumblers are faded. I noticed you used a heat gun. Did your heat gun show the same temp you have it set at?
It's was fairly accurate. We never had to play with the heat setting to get ours done. We do let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes once it is up to temp. The thermometer gun was to check for the drop off in temperature at the edge. We would either consider having the testing cup and play with the settings to find something that works or exchange it for one that works better. Hope this helps Thank you for checking us out!
Hey kill Joy, we've not heard of that happening as of yet. Two possible solutions. Contact company and ask for replacement or go to auto parts store, home depot or Amazon and buy some automotive grease and lube it yourself, wearing protective gloves of course. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I received my press yesterday and used it today to sublimate a 20 oz tumbler. Why all the smoke is it cause it was the first time using or did I set it too high 385F 60 seconds. Any advice would be appreciated.
The first use of these are always with extra aromas but the gasses are part of sublimation. Ours still does the same but it smells a lot better. Please consider well ventilated space
Great video! Thank you. I also found that tweezers (I prefer Cricut tweezers) make it easier to pull the tape off. I don’t have the patience to wait, I wanna see my design right away.
Thanks for watching - we’re glad you enjoyed it! We actually have another great way to get the tape off that we’ll show in a future video. But good tip on the tweezers as well! 😁
Hi I purchased a purchase a pyd life for 30and 40oz tumbler without handle the said to put my press on 360 for 60 seconds do I do it on each side it come out and my paper is stuck or burnt on the tumbler I'm using htv sublimation paper. Or do I have my tension set to tight
Hey! If you're trying to do a full wrap, then yes, you should turn the tumbler and press a second time to be sure that whatever is in the gap at the top gets a good press. If your paper is sticking, the first thing to try is different paper. PYD actually makes a paper that we like to use: amzn.to/3YuJzAA (affiliate link) Happy crafting!
Hey! We always go by what the manufacturer recommends rather than a standard setting. If your blacks are turning brown, that means it's getting overcooked. Check the manufacturer's website for specific time and temps (and if you're already following those, try reducing your time first and then your temperature if it's still happening). Hope this helps!
Thanks for watching, from what we can tell the 2 in 1 comes with 2 interchangeable heating elements. Where this one just came with the standard 1. Happy crafting!
Loved your tutorial and your sense of humour. Thank you no no Thank you
Hahaha thank YOU! 😉
The colors are soooo vibrant! You two are nailing all the uses of the incredible equipment you have.
Thank you!! We love how easy it is to create colorful things with sublimation! 😄
Thank for this video so many tumbler presses out there hard to chose. You guys might of sold me on this one
Woo hoo! We love this tumbler press. Thanks for letting us know this was helpful!

Can you do glass also with this tumbler press?
You can, as long as the glass is made to handle being Sublimated.
Check out this video. It also has links for sublimation glass

I just bought this heat press can you use a 20oz in the heater coil that comes with this machine?
Hey! Most tumbler presses can do 20oz, but we recommend checking the listing for what all it can press to be sure. Happy crafting!
Will this do glass as well? Thanks. Great video
Absolutely! As long as the glass is designed for sublimation of course. ua-cam.com/video/lhvZjaxtvmU/v-deo.html
It's identical to the Craft Express press. Same item, different branding?
Hey! We haven't checked that one out, so we can't say for sure. Either way, we love it!
How many sizes can you press with heatpress. I see you used 20 and 30oz, what sizes were the mugs
Hello! Everything we used is linked in the description. Hope that helps!
Hot peel!! Never heard of that before! Dose it really help with ghosting?
Hey and thanks for your question. It certainly works for us!
What bout glass mugs...?
How long, What Temperature and can I use HTV?
Great question.

It's about half an inch from any edge of the heated surface. That's where it temp runs down and doesn't sublimate quite right. Hope this helps!

Tried adjusting the pressure. Over here struggling to turn them. Mines didn’t have grease on mines

The part that you place the mug in (on mine), is orange.. not white. Is that normal? Or is it missing something?
Hey! Yours could just be from a different/newer batch. As long as it works, it’s probably fine.
Great video! Thank you. I also found that tweezers (I prefer Cricut tweezers) make it easier to pull the tape off. I don’t have the patience to wait, I wanna see my design right away.

Does this press have a beeping sound when the timer is up?
Hey there! Yes - it does beep when the timer is up.
Great, thank you!

The handbook states heat up with a blank inside it. You didnt do this?
Hey! We have never heated up a press with anything inside of it. 😉
What settings do you use with your PYD Life press when making ceramic coffee mugs? I am struggling with my blacks turning faded brown.

I just bought and did a regular mug but the picture didn't atay in the the mug, it didn't sublimate it.
What im doing wrong?
Hey! Did you use sublimation ink and a sublimation printer?
@@JustMightDIY no I just use regular liquid ink
What’s the difference between this one and the pyd life 2 in 1 press ?
Thanks for watching, from what we can tell the 2 in 1 comes with 2 interchangeable heating elements. Where this one just came with the standard 1. Happy crafting!
Did your press have a horrible smell while using it?
Nothing horrible, just the normal odors of sublimation. If it's awful consider contacting the manufacturer. Thanks for checking us out!
I laughed wayyyy too hard at the thank you cards! I just ordered something from them and it just came flying out of the package at me.
Ha! We got a kick out of finding them in every package, so we HAD to do something with them. 😂 It does make you feel appreciated!
Oh...Nah Uh...Thank you! I bought it! 🫶🏽
Woo hoo! Enjoy! 😄
