@@turritopsis_said80 I'm going to assume it's less because they hate Shirou and more because that ending have a bittersweet tone to it, and found that ending to be more interesting. I have heard a few people that do prefer that ending over the happy end.

If Shiro save Artoria, Artoria will kill Shiro. This is the way of this story, so there's nothing to be done...
I am sad too but Arturia was too perfect to be in the ending. She would have eclipsed Sakura. She got her ending as she wanted, trust me.
Arturia always had me as this self-destructive ruler who wanted to be stopped before she commited the atrocities she had to. So Shirou stopping her before literal, biblical Hell was unleashed on the world would have been to her best wishes.
I dont think you can even save some from the Chaos Tide/Holy Grail Mud. Its perma corruption.
Thank you for editing HF to the end, and the music played at the end of this is quite meaningful to me who has been watching the FATE series for a long time, and the songs in each part of HF represent the state of mind of sakura.

I really loved this scenario of the game since Kinoko (author of the original eroge) rooted for the girl who suffered heavily from inferiority complex.
Sakura who finally is ready to face her wrongdoing and Shirou without survivor's guilt, without savior complex, heading for new phase of their life in such a beautiful scene is blessing to all people going forward.
Shirou's soul wasn't taken away when he died. That's how his wished is fulfilled, and then that soul was put into the puppet made by the Puppet Master that went past them

I love the stories of the Fate route and the Archer route. But for me, after having watched Fate Zero, Heaven's Feel will always be the canon ending. It is so perfect story from one end to the other.

Not really, before there was a film, I really believed that Aimer would do his best for the ost in this third film, and the results were truly satisfying. haha :v

I just love how dark and depressing it is and amidst that darkness is a beautiful ending.
No matter what happened to Shirou in all three routes, I'm pretty sure Kerry is proud. Shirou found his way.

Seeing this master display of art makes me sad that this is probably the last fate animated by Ufotable, truly if they gave it a chance I'm sure people would love Grand Order with this kind of animation, especially the second story arc deserves this quality of art, I'm willing to wait for years if the end result is an anime with this type of quality

The fact that almost nobody them realizes how big of a cameo is Aozaki Tokou is in this trilogy and what she did for Shirou is kinda disappointing but understandable since it's Nasuverse.
For the context, Aozaki Touko is a Grand-rank master of puppets that is known on Kara no Kyoukai series (Garden of Sinners). Her role on the trilogy is to provide a puppet body for Shirou's soul to inhabit/possess, basically making Shirou acquire a new body, and it's a hard one since Aozaki is untraceable due to her running from Mage's Association.
Highly recommendd to watch Kara no Kyoukai series (watch in release order) to get to know more about her.
Wait, I'm a bit confused. Did Aozaki appeared in Garden of Sinners or Witch of The Holy Night? Aozaki is the protagonist of Mahoyo right?

I was surprised at the moment i saw Aozaki Tokou apears and revive Shirou but it kinda too deep for those who only know fate series.

Mahoyo is connected to Fate since its the prequel. While KnK is a separate timeline but with the same settings of Mahoyo.

tbh I think Shirou's revival was kind of an asspull and the story would've been better if it ended without him
It would be worse and wouldn't make sense considering the way the route was going, the movie just cut out a lot. Which is understandable because you can't fit a whole route in 3 movies. There's 2 endings. Normal ending, Shirou dies after he takes out the Avenger with Excalibur. Sakura lives and dies of old age living single, hoping that Shirous soul would be found 1 day. True end is happens if you build enough affection with Ilya who sacrifices herself to use the 3rd magic Dress of Heaven to recreate Emiya's soul and put it into a container. Rider locates his lost soul using the pendant that's attached to the soul, which is then put into a puppet by Touka. Touka which you see as the red head before Rin/Sakura enter the shop in the movie, is from the series Garden of Sinners which takes place in the same world as Fate. So Emiya isn't actually revived, he's just recreated in a doll like body to make Sakura happy

@@eclipsewaves Heavens Feel is the name of the routes ritual for the Holy Grail, its the Einzberns magic to reach the Root. The magic Ilya uses is her form of Heavens Feel called Dress of Heaven.
