      I believe following that path for yourself just makes you dependent on the opinions of others and thats completely the opposite of what Musashi tried to teach.

    I’m now in my 70’s I was in my younger days a special forces HALO paratrooper. From those challenging selection processes it’s inner self mastery and character that make individual great. To pushing on when others give up. It’s overcoming psychological mental failure. It’s having a dogged determination to win through and become a master of your chosen field of endeavour. Alfred lord tennyson: it’s better to have tried and failed or not try at all.

    I'm curious, is Musashi both Taoist and Zen Buddhist or conjure of both?

      Zen Buddhism was a mixture of taoism and traditional buddhism. His philosophies definitly has ties to both schools of thought , So in Affect Yes
