At first I misread Gravel Pit and thought it was Grave Pit! I thought that was why you feared for your lives 😂😂😂

Ah...! you didn't let on about how the overnight camp was. Did you survive Jordan? Were you both ok? I'm glad you got to Fraser. It is awesome to 4WD the whole length and around to the western side (~Next time). However, I'll give you a tip: You can also do this in Paj on MAGNETIC island in Townsville - although it is not a sand island -the roads are good enough. You can even walk out to the shipwreck (the SS City of Adelaide) on the western side of the island on low tide! Remember to be mindful of the stinger season. You can explore this at you leisure. Should you do this, keep an eye out of the large eagle's net on the tree in the shipwreck. I would worry about stoping in Rocky or McKay, but do drop into Yeppoon and Sarina. Very nice stops along the way (nice and quite) Yeppoon will lead you to Keppel Island, where Sarina is just nice and peaceful and a good link to the coast. From Proserpine onwards you can consider that Crocs are about in creeks and the ocean so BE careful and only swim where the signs allow. Stay safe guys!

Guys drop in to Agnes Waters/1770 its between Bundaberg and Gladstone the last surfing beach as you head north. There is a good tour you can do from 1770 in a converted WW2 Army Duck along the beach through the national park,, cross a few creeks and climb up the side of the headland in the duck for a lighthouse tour which is pretty amazing you even get to do some sandboarding on the way back.Turn off to Bundaberg on te way for a soft drink factory tour and viist the Bunderburg Rum Distillery before taking the back road up to Agnes Waters/1770 rather than going back to the Bruce Hwy.

the tag along tour I did on K'gari earlier this year was the highlight of my Australia trip! I did mine over 3 days on the island and had a great time

We would have done 3 days but we couldn’t really afford it, bet it was so nice to stay on the island and I agree we couldn’t really fault the tour - it was a great experience

Glad that you liked it, better weather would have made it even greater.
    Rainbow is my local beach...
    Enjoy your travels 👍

You have a great beach on your doorstep, do you ever drive on it? Yeah we have to make the most of it even if the weather isn’t great 👍🏻

Ahh I wouldn't be able to live without a toilet 🙈 We have only stayed at campsites a handful of times, being away from all the people is what we look for 🤣

You should have stayed the night here in Tin Can Bay instead of that gravel area. Then you could have hand fed wild dolphins the next morning.

We definitely did, the gravel pit was only about 15ks to Tin can bay and the video is up now 👍🏻
