    I used to work in health and safety and we got a report once of a guy who was using one of these to cut old bits of concrete off a bridge. A chunk fell and hit the nozzle knocking it out of his hand, but his other hand was still on the trigger. It pretty much took his arm off. I still have to use one to wash my plums, though.

    wow amazing!...Sir ,how much was the pressure of the jet?does'nt that make u push backward's?? i have learnt that pressure and velocity of fluid are inversely proportional so if ur fluid is at high pressure does it mean that the fluid coming out of the hose is very less? If so it does'nt seem to be at low speed.sorry if my question is silly..

  • @mwangikimani3970

    That's extremely dangerous. The game show better pay this guy big bucks for risking his life like that, any slip and that jet would cut in in half.

    • @ariesmajor
      @ariesmajor 10 років тому +1

      The jet would be halway across the studio bouncing all over the place, you'd have to get really close to it for it to do any damage, and since its always pushing away from the stream of water creating a large gap between the cutting jet and the object its trying to cut......you need someone to hold the damn thing for it to cut anything.

      Nope. Super dangerous even without back pressure. In this country operators must wear kevlar suits and full helmet, air supply etc etc. This came about from several very nasty deaths and injuries. As in operators not being in one piece anymore or have injection injuries that you dont want to know about.

    • @stampjoahn3509
      @stampjoahn3509 6 років тому

      yeah ik im a little late but this is the stupidest statement I have seen in a while, that monstrosity of a hose can not kill someone by cutting them it would be easier to get cut by paper a wooden log that has not been treated properly can become very weak and bugs will eat away at trees, plus if you saw the water coming out from the side of the log that also shows part of the log has been either hollowed or bugs just ate the wood.

    High pressure water jets are also used to cut metals. I guess the video illustrates that just because you can cut wood with water, doesn't mean that you should cut wood with water. Great demo though. :)
