God damn, the Ausar cutscene really does show how different the real Ausar was to the soulless copy in IB3. You genuinely get the impression that he is the most ancient and powerful deathless in the world with his superior nonchalance about everything. Brilliant work on this

Definitely, and the fact that they used Siris's voice is a wonderfully chilling extra detail. And it just brings Home the fact that those two ARE exactly the same person.
Such a shame we never got to see this Ausar in the games. Would totally be down for playing a prequel to the series set in the time of Ausar the Vile’s prominence.
Leaked images from dungeons gameplay showed that there is an Ausar boss battle - presumably shortly before this cutscene. And yes, it is an absolute travesty we never got to see him at his full power.

I think that the ‘’ Forge Master ‘’ might be Thane, they share same voice, for some reason the Forge Master become chunky and BIG at the end, this light have a link to IB3 Thane. Even tho this makes not a lot of sense i think that these 2 characters are similar in a way

wtf happened to the dude in ausars ending. he is so chunky now? did ausar do that to him or did somthing messed up happened in the story that we may never see
In my theory, I think the protagonist in the beginning killed Ausar (Without activating it) with the Infinity Blade and afterwards he got betrayed and killed by the Forge Master but he managed to injure the Forge master before dying by using the Infinity Blade or pushed him into the forge to burn him, or by using an artifact that changes their QIP. And thus, causing deformity like what happened to Thane. But I think it's just a different character with the same voice actor. With what Ausar did though, I think Ausar just plainly killed him and sarcastically called him immortal since he can't die again.

I doubt Raidriar actually beat Ausar 1 on 1 though, dude had hundreds of years to train after Ausar's death and was still eventually beaten by Siris, he probably ambushed Ausar, or took a cheap shot at him.
