It's amazing how the lowest points (Death Valley) and the highest point (Mount Whitney) are so close. Looks like a good choice of a hike to do at this time of the year and with the weather related events we have experienced.
Went out there 2-5 after watching your video. Such a wonderful view from the summit. Rugged hike, I won't lie, but well worth it. Thank you for sharing something I would have never known about. A long day from Chino to Death Valley and back but it was awesome. ❤
I was in DV mid Dec, i stayed in Furnace Creek. Really enjoyed it, fantastic rock formations and i will be going back i enjoyed it so much. We hiked but were there for the canyoneering.
Great job! The driving and logistics look as difficult as the hike on this one. I guess that's often the case in these remote areas. Like me I'm sure you have summited all the peaks you pointed out around you (White, Telescope and Whitney). If you have not done Baxter Pass yet that was my greatest challenge and would love to see your video take on it. I have one up on YT called Baxter Pass 2018 but it is just a narrated slide show and not a nice video like yours.
This video inspired me to do the hike. I had to juggle my schedule, drive 6 hours to get there, and deal with strong winds that felt like they wanted to blow me off the mountain. Wowza, was it worth it! I appreciate all the details in your video that made planning so much easier.
@@Hikingguy hello you have done Split Mountain Trail by chance? I went to look for the trail and never able to make it because I end it up in a locked gate. But I went to do White Mt following your video 🎉 Gracias 🙏🎉🎉🎉
This has been on my list! You did a beautiful job filming. My trip is in March, will probably miss the water but I feel more motivated to try it now. Thank you for the guide.
I visited Dante's View early November last year. I didn't know about the trail to Mt. Perry, otherwise I might have tried it. I remember that it was very windy up there so be prepared!
We visit Dantes view last week and we just saw clouds and green point, do you know why the basin turn green, and we saw two people disapear on th mountain, rigth were you start the hike now i know were they go bueatiffull hike

Thanks for the recommendation. I went on the hike but didn't go all the way. I know my limits. Still an excellent hike.
I did it today, after seeing this video (only spent 6 hours driving)! A truly spectacular hike, so glad I did it. Thanks!
Did it in December, amazing!!
Love this gem in Death Valley. The Mt Perry and Telescope Peak hikes are easily my favorite in the park. Thanks for doing a video; looks beautiful!

Very cool. I've done this hike before and it is fantastic! I'm looking forward to doing it again sometime. Love the Star Wars reference!
We are going to do this hike right away. Thank you for doing this hike.
Another brilliantly crafted film bud, your content is absolutely stunning!
thank you!
Looks like a fun hike. I love moving along ridgelines where you can get wide open views in all directions.

Jeff - awesome glad you got to experience this one - it's one of my faves - and massive thank you for all the support over the years!

@@Tj-wz1sx I have not done that one yet, but it's on my list
Just did corkscrew peak today, super clear visibility of mt Whitney, white mountain peak, and badwater. Definitely a good time to visit Death Valley
Cool hike. Never heard of that one.
Great overview! I love Death Valley and need to get out there this season! 🌻
The window for hiking Death Valley is rapidly closing…but this trip looks awesome
False Peaks are so fun!
Great stuff! I see a lot of Malacothamnus in San Diego's sage scrub as well! 2023 was an exceptional bloom year for this shrub!
So cool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks

I haven't been there yet, but it is now on my bucket list. Thanks for showing!
Nice! I was not aware of this trail. This is going on my 'to-do' list. Thanks for the detailed history too.
That was a gem!

Excellent guide. Thanks
Great hike. Loved doing it years ago.
Looks amazing! I've been to Death Valley twice, but only in the summer!
I think I was at the parking area the day you filmed this!
I was trying these out: www.greenbelly.co - was really good
@@Hikingguy thanks! We will give them a try!
Pretty hike. Can I ask what you were snacking on?
...and watch out for the rattlesnakes! Other than that, totally worth it and definitely going again!

I'm not sure why it's green but it might have to do with the salinity - good question!
@@Hikingguy thank you.
Are there any areas to camp overnight along this route?
There were some decent sites on Mount Perry and def some spots along the way.
Scum, Villainy, and...hikers haha
