I think I might be the reason the mercenary emote exists because on March 6 of this year I got suggestions banned from Item Asylum by "making suggestions of buff TF2 men", where the suggestion was an emote of you-know-what. I can't find any info on when they added the mercenary emote to asylum rejects, so Im not sure, could be a coincidence.
I'd honestly kill for both a Caddicarus and Mega Man reference in IA, the former getting a Taunt would be perfect, and the Latter getting an item that's one of the classic weapons (maybe Top Spin or Charge Kick from 3 or 5 just to piss people off lmao) Nonetheless, a jolly good showcase mate.

I think proto man's shield from mm7 (and the one you get in mm7 specifically) would make up for a pretty good misc item
