Can you believe? - Onew (wearing green pants) said he has never danced in his life before joining SM Ent. that Key (wearing lightest colored pants) didn't want to even debut in a group with him because of this (Key was being sassy af😂) - Taemin had no lines in Replay because his voice was undergoing the puberty stage.. people called him tone deaf (the nerve of these people right?😂) later he revealed he was upset about it and that's why he worked hard to improve his singing - Jonghyun was supposedly scouted by SM because of his looks and not his voice (they hit the jackpot though!) - Minho used to be so shy and quiet but now he is the loudest among the members - SHINee originally planned to debut as a hiphop group.. Whereas jonghyun was already into music before debut. He had a band and he used to play instruments at that time. But he got a position as a main vocalist after recruiting by SM

This is my #1 SHINee song for real, is just timeless. I hope you keep reacting to them, they are wonderful , not only as artist but as people, as well. The members really do have different personalities, and they together are a MESS but they cant help but love each other so much. Let me talk about each member a little (in separated comments so it does not look saturated): - *Onew* (green pants) is the leader, his name means "Soft" "Gently", and was give because of his personlaity. His nickname is "dubu leader" , dubu is Tofu, and is soft, so is like saying "Our soft leader", other nickname given by his members is "Old man", cuz he really act like one. He is also very clumsy, and people used to call it "Onew condition (sagtae)" He is a great vocalist, he was SHINee lead vocalist for 10 years, and now is the Main vocalist, because of what happened. He have a very gently personality, that people always believed that he was the younguest and Jonghyun was the leader but that was not the case. According to his member he have a very strong but gently leadership and adjust himselft to each member personality , they love him and respect him very much. Jonghyun once said in a show that if you want to bully some one bully him instead, and not Onew, because Onew have a very fragil heart. Also Key have said he did not expected to debut with Onew in the same group, because Onew never danced before, was most of the time silent, and the industry is to rought for nice people like him (he was right... the industry have being...just bad to him). Minho have said that he is not the type of leader that put himselt above others but he put himselft in the middle, and make them stronger. Onew was Taemin first vocal coach, and Onew ALWAYS defend Taemin no matter what, even against the other members, he is just his baby. And usually get what he wants from Onew. There some info that he suffers from depression as well, and what happened to jonghyun really hit him so hard. He really needed help. In their 10 anniversary promotions Key mentioned that he need to eat and gain weight again, as well as sleep more and stop worrying so much. So is clear from Key comments that Onew was still suffering really bad during their promotions. It always remind me on a live they did reponding to fans questions there was a fan that said "Onew till when you will keep being this pretty", and the member just stsrted going all loud "ohhhhhhh" , they keep trying to make him happy. He did said he had troubles crying for jonghyun before reciving psycological help, cuz he felt guilty. ONEW is very intelligent, he was one top student, and his joke and comments are some times difficult to understand, jonghyun was usually the one that understood him the most and knew exactly what he was refering to most of the time. When they were asked in an individual interview if they would married a memeber if they were girls who would be , Jonghyun said he would married ONEW. And Onew said he would married JONGHYUN. Now he have said tatt he started to reading more again, and he is searching for the meaning of life. He also became a Christian acouple of years ago,(he was not before) and said that he had find strength from it. He have gone through a lot... he nearly lost his voice and had to recive surgery in his vocal cords, he was very scared and after it he could not speak for like a month...and was not sure if he would be abbly to sing againg, thank God the surgery went well and he can sing even better than before. Thanks for the reaction. Shinee was the first to document dance practices now it's commonly done. Fyi Taemin was 15 when they debuted. The mv was posted 3 years after the actual debut in 2008. I highly recommend the dance versions of Juliette and Love Like Oxygen from this period as they are even stronger performances. Thanks again.
The next is: *KEY* , His name suposed to mean that he can open any door (in the industry), he is called "Almighty" as well since he basically can do anything, they call him triple treats for it (can sing, dance, rap... and let add that he can act as well). He is a vocalist, lead rapper and lead dancer. He is the one that speak the best english, as well as japanese. He is a fashionista, fashion designer(designed/styled most of the concert outfits), content producer, song writer , actor and editor. He was raised by his grandmother , and he loved her soo much! , it was really heartbreaking when she passed away. He also knowns how to cook well, he even had a cooking show. He have a very particular personality. He and the members admitted that he used to me more selfish when he was younger, but he had became more considerate with time. He is very sassy, savage, straight foward, he will say exactly what he thinks, he does not like to sugar coat anything. And does not like other tell him what to do but some how he does as Onew said, he like to act cute with Onew, that usually buy him what he wants. Some times fans call him "Onew princess" LOLLL. He is also sensitive and can cry easily. When they were aprendiz he had a big fight with Minho since he told him to wash the dishes, but Key refuse to. The fight got bigger since Minho could not understad Key since he speaked satori (korean dialect) they did not fix things till they debuted. They are basically the definition of "Oposite atrack each other".He have said that Minho is his best friend and when he have something that really bothers him he just wait till he see Minho and talk about it with him, he said that Minho dont give advice but simple listen to his worries and always said he will support whatever he decide. Also once they had a party in Key house, he just fall a sleep and Minho cleaned his house and left a note on his table saying "Kibum(his real name) I love you" , and he keep saying how sweet Minho is. They also always join force to tease and/or scold Taemin , lol. He also said in his last show (cooking show) that Minho was so important in his life that he dont think they can ever be apart. He took care of Taemin with the basics, when they just debuted, and Taemin had learnt alot of things from him (good and bad), so part of Taemin savage personality, and no filter comments comes from him, he have said he regret part of the things he teached Taemin, Lol since now he is using it against him. I Love all SHINee but sometimes I think Key is my favorite, he is just to sassy, I just love how he always comeback to others with some funny comments and his face expressions are the best.
The next is: *Jonghyun* he was the main vocalist of SHINee, his nickname was "Bling Bling" , basically he shined. He was not only a signer, but song writer, producer, author, radio host. He was known of one if not the best vocalist in the kpop industry. He was a Women rights and LGTBIQ rights supporter, and did not cared about the hate he recived for it (Korea a very conservative society). He wrote like 40% of SHINee song, several song for other artist like Taemin, EXO, LEE HI, and IU. He had a strong character, very savage, he most of the time was a mood maker and talked the most on interviews and most of the time was confused as leader, that basically make him became Onew right hand when it comes to lead. Onew always said he could not do it with out him, but Jjong always said Onew could do anything with out him just fine! He was very sensitive as well, and cried a a lot in concerts. He had a radio show called "BLUE NIGHT", he talked alot about several things, including his depression (I will just talk about what he said), He said he had seasonal depression , and winter was difficult for him. He also talked that he had a difficult childhood and intentionally tried to get rid of all the photos and memories of it, have economic problems (in his childhood), his father did not supported his dream of becoming a singer, and he was ambidexter (he could use both left and right hand very well) cuz the moment his father notice he was left handed basically forced him to use the right hand. In the end he was just not close to his father, to the point that his members (Onew, key, minho and Taemin) became head mourners of his funeral as males( head of the family) representatives of the family, and they took care of everyting related to the funeral rituals. But loved his mom and sister very much. He was #1 Taemin supporter, and called himselft "Taemint fan club president", he helpped Taemin with his vocals and gave him some of his songs (well Taemin nagged him for it ), he once postponed his own concert in korea to attend Taemin first solo concert in japan. He was scared of Key birthday cuz always asked for expensive presents and even created a song about it ,Lol. Had a "Tom and jerry" relationship with minho they were always funny together, but Minho was always there for him. He loved his members as well and have said that the only way he EVER be seprated from them is them being physically apart for ever. SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS GONNA BE LONG AS HELL! SORRY! OMG Riko, you just made me so happy!! 😁😀😝😝🤪🤪 I’ve been waiting for you to hear this because to this day it is my FAVORITE SHINee song. There are some that I abso love but NONE can dethrone Queen “Replay” ( Tho my second favorite “Excuse me Miss” [especially the Live from SHINee world tour2015] and “View” are my top two contenders for its spot)! I had a STRONG feeling you’d like the song and I JUST KNEW I’d see that smile on your face! So much stuff too unpack but maybe I’ll save some for later on down the road so... The B2K comparison has been made a lot by many of a reactor and its pretty spot on. In my opinion when KPop smashed its way into the West with Psy’s “Gangnam Style” (circa 2012) my first thought was “I love this song but SHINee should’ve and could’ve had that same achievement back in ‘08 if only given the chance. I really wished SM Town (their Entertainment co.) would’ve pushed harder into the western Market. Admittedly I also thought the same of BigBang who were under the same label as Psy and were having a very good 2012 but we talkin’ bout SHINee so back to the then dubbed ( by the media) “Princes of KPop”. Yes. This was one of the first Dance practice videos and for THAT TIME PERIOD the view count was phenomenal. You know with SM town it’s either hit or miss. They are known for having excellent singers Like Super Junior, SNSD (better known as Girls Generation),SHINee, Exo and NCT( If you have not already, please react to SuperJunior. They originally started off with 13 members and the band is active to this day. You should definitely check out the song “Lo Siento” featuring Afro-Latina Singer Leslie Grace. They (SuJu) are very good at making that incredible mix of Korean, English and Spanish type songs) but at the same time they are also known for having horrible techniques to teaching their pre-debut trainees. You can look up some of the stories yourself. Anyway, I heard that with SHINee that they were either not supposed to debut or they were supposed to debut later but SM were using them to record guide tracks and somewhere along the line they realized that these boys were ready right then. I don’t think any of the boys had even finished high school yet and Taemin was no older than 15 which I’m sure you can clearly see. It always makes me laugh when I see him trying to hit on the Noona in the video (the songs about SHINee’s relationship with an older woman or in Korean she’d be referred to as a Noona, which means older sister But can be used affectionately towards an older female friend/acquaintance just like the way the word “Oppa” (older brother) can be used by woman affectionately towards an older male friend/acquaintance). I don’t know how true the story is but SM town definitely made a good decision debuting them because man oh man it seemed like they blew up overnight. They certainly could have given any Western artist a run for their money for sure. The Choreo for this is phenomenal which is another thing SM town is good at. My fave moves @4:03 AND @4:48 (🎶 and I think I’m going to hate it girl🎶😁 I love that part too but I actually love Onew’s hand movements @4:19 when he says she’s his MVP). And EVERYONE loves @5:55 when Taemin basically says YES BITCHES I’M LEE TAEMIN, THE MAIN DANCER😂 as he swims thru our collective tears of Joy & “uwus” straight into the hearts of Shawols everywhere! I think I mentioned on my last comment that if you thought BTS was a family then you would definitely think that of SHINee as well. And this dance solo of Taemin’s was comedic fodder for his hyungs for quite some time. They would all dramatically breaststroke to make fun of him but no worries, TAEMIN is one savage Maknae. He always gets them back and it’s usually on live TV. What am I saying?!?! They are one shameless bunch😂 They will air all types of dirty laundry on whatever show they go on. They may be one of the funniest idol groups out there. They are all savage and all very shady especially MY bias, Kim Kibum better known as Key. For example, every Shawol knows the fact that the day that Key entered the dorms he got into an heated argument with Minho. Minho told Key to wash the dishes. Tho they are both the same age Minho had seniority at SM but Key did and still does NOT like being told what to do and asked Minho the Satoori (dialect) version of “ARE YOU ON CRACK?!?” which Minho took offense to of course. 🤣🤣 They all love each other very much which made losing Jonghyun so much more unbelievable and made watching his brothers at his funeral Damn near unbearable. Btw... thanks for referring to them as “five” while you were praising them. Believe it or not Many a hater had resentment towards them for continuing on without Jonghyun . Some even said they were using his death to their advantage. That very thought is...disgusting. Moving on, I think you’re doing an awesome job with this band. My advice is to follow the path you’re already on... chronological. Also maybe try some different material like some TV appearances... actually one in particular that was awesome was the Rollercoaster dance challenge they did on “weekly idol”. Basically the 4 boys dance to their song “Good Evening” (which has chairs for props) while the producers speed up, slow down or leave as is, the song. They also did the 2x speed dance challenge to their super fast EDM song “EVERYBODY“ . Which proved what great dancers they truly are and also showed once again Minho’s crazy competitiveness and temper😂 Speaking of which, you can react to Knowing Brothers (Called Men on a Mission on Netflix) “SHINee Minho got angry at result of coke drinking battle” it’s episode 150 I think. It has English subs but honestly even if it didn’t you’d understand cuz they are just that animated and totally nuts!!😁 Also, their Live 2015 world tour stage of “Excuse me Miss” is legit one of the best performances I’ve ever seen and that’s saying a lot because I’ve seen BTS live and I have watched Big Bangs stages countless times and they are showmen! They leave it ALL on the stage! SHINee didn’t have any special effects or props (except a phone booth) no explosions or fireworks, no light show, no crazy costumes or concepts and only two back up dancers but like I said, til this day it’s one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. He have being very spoiled for YEARS by his members, he is the main dancer, lead vocalist, and had participated in writting songs as well. He have no filter when it comes to talk about his members, and always have to be warned by his member not to swear in public ,since it seems he does it a lot. He is called "Magic hands" cuz he lose or broke things most of the time, they keep him OUT of the kitchen, since he does not know how to cook and with his magic hands anything could happen. When he was younger and still in middle school his member used to take turns to take him to school, when he debuted he had to change from school to a special one since he was being harrased and bullied. Their debut song did not had his voice cuz he was still too young and his vocal cords eere not matured, he was called tone deaf. I remember how he used to look at Onew and jonghyun singing so amazed, it was soo cute back then!! Onew and jonghyun gave his vocals classes and he worked so hard ,he even had nose bleed when he worked for hours in his vocals. Now he is one of the most repected Kpop idols and a lot of new idols have him as inspiration. He never talked about his emotions before , till jonghyun passed away, and he recived psicological help, he was in shock and cancelled all the solo activities he had for 2 months (no one knew were he was), he have started to speak more about his feelings .... and relay a lot in to his faith ( he is a catholic christian) and music. Next is: *Minho* his nickname is "flaming charisma" or "Frog prince" , because of his look and his cheesy lines (he some times really speak like a hero of a movie). He is the Main rapper, dancer and vocalist in the group. He had also participated in song writting and usual write his own raps. He is an actor as well and had patticipated in a lot of dramas and also in movies. He is extreamly competitive and always want to win. His father is a famous soccer (football) manager in korea, so Minho is very in to sports like soccer ,basketball , swimming and he is good at all of them. He really like any physical activities, and work out in the gym mostly everyday (according to the members). When they debuted he was mostly silent cuz he was shy, however with time he showed his real personality and he is very LOUD. He is a sweet heart, he support ALL the members activities and always make time to be with them in whatever they are doing. He call him selft a SHAWOL (SHINee fan) as well. He is the emotional backbone of the group, and the "glue" he never shows his emotions most of the time and always tried to be the "ROCK" for the other members in emotional breakdowns. He is like a big brother to Taemin and scold him a lot, he had became best friend with Key and he is always the first one to notice when something is going wrong with him also it seems he have access to his house (knows the password), and have being seen severals times taking care of Key dogs. He always had an eye on Onew and lived with him for 11 years, till Onew enlisted. He used to biker with jonghyun a lot, since he is tall and jjong was really small and make fun of it, LOL. But they just liked to play with each other ,and Minho was his #1 fan not only as singer but as radio host, he listened, called and even went to the radio station several times as surprise even in his last show . It was said that he was the first one to get to the hospital when he got the news... Since he is the strongest emotionally speaking he was the lead in the funeral procession. He is also GREAT with kids, he really love them. And have said that he want to grow old as SHINee. SHINee at its core is a very R&B group. No matter the style they use for their title tracks, majority of their albums would always be filled with R&B jams. I’m not sure if this is the first dance practice video that got released. I remember TVXQ releasing a dance practice for Purple Line around the same time as this too. Also this dance practice for Replay went viral because fans would use the audio for other songs and the choreography still worked perfectly, so the Replay choreo went viral for being the “magic choreo.”

I'm glad you reacted to this rare dance practice. This is the song that got me into Kpop back in 2011. I remember kicking myself for not getting into Kpop sooner (despite my late sister's best effort to convert me - Allah bless her soul). I loved it so much that I memorised the Korean and Japanese version of this song. Somewhere along the way, however, SHINee started releasing songs that didn't really resonate with me, so I became more of an EXO fan because of their R&B repertoire. But I will always have a special place for these boys in my heart, especially my first bias Taemin :) After Jonghyun (pink pants) passed away, there was a period where it was too difficult for me to watch SHINee MVs (and I would consider myself a "casual" Shawol at that time) because of how special they are to me. I still get mixed emotions when I see any vids or hear his songs/songs he wrote - but I choose to celebrate his life rather than the circumstances of his passing. I hope you'll have time to dive deeper into SHINee's new and older discography. They're an amazing group.

Replay is from 2008, but the MV was reuploaded by SM in 2011. While this is older (Replay is the debut song, 2008) but Lucifer 's (2010 comeback) dance practice is the one that started the dance practice trend. When you do your research on Kpop you'll find Seo Taiji and the Boys the fathers of the modern music in Korea. He mixed Rock, Heavy Metal with RNB at times. Rain is also an artist that is mostly admired by all the 2nd and 3rd generation Kpop idols. You hear a lot of soul in his voice plus his awesome moves. By the way he also acts and even was the lead on Ninja Assassin. I know you'll be blown away by his performance. Also I think SM hired the best choreographers from the U.S. to work their best artist like SHINee and Super Junior to name a few. If I'm not mistaken (can't remember his name) SHINee worked with Michael Jackson's choreo. Please take a look at Rain's videos. Thanks 😃
i know about Seo Taiji and the Boys. and that is correct they bared the cross for what became Kpop later on. they went through much criticism from the older Koreans and grabbed the attention of the youth. but their music was really hard to categorize because it changed dramatically a lot of the times. but i will say this...the opened the ears and minds of the S. Korean people and it made them appreciate the music we make here. that is why the young generation became aware of the music genres you hear in Kpop. let's not forget Seo Taiji brought rap there to. their group started with a 90s rap style that blew up for them first.

Yen R. I think you mixed up jonghyun with Minho cuz Minho was scouted because of looks. And Minho wanted to become a football player but his father didn’t let him cuz he thought it’s a tough field.
Whereas jonghyun was already into music before debut. He had a band and he used to play instruments at that time. But he got a position as a main vocalist after recruiting by SM

I hope you keep reacting to them, they are wonderful , not only as artist but as people, as well. The members really do have different personalities, and they together are a MESS but they cant help but love each other so much.
Let me talk about each member a little (in separated comments so it does not look saturated):
- *Onew* (green pants) is the leader, his name means "Soft" "Gently", and was give because of his personlaity. His nickname is "dubu leader" , dubu is Tofu, and is soft, so is like saying "Our soft leader", other nickname given by his members is "Old man", cuz he really act like one. He is also very clumsy, and people used to call it "Onew condition (sagtae)"
He is a great vocalist, he was SHINee lead vocalist for 10 years, and now is the Main vocalist, because of what happened.
He have a very gently personality, that people always believed that he was the younguest and Jonghyun was the leader but that was not the case. According to his member he have a very strong but gently leadership and adjust himselft to each member personality , they love him and respect him very much.
Jonghyun once said in a show that if you want to bully some one bully him instead, and not Onew, because Onew have a very fragil heart.
Also Key have said he did not expected to debut with Onew in the same group, because Onew never danced before, was most of the time silent, and the industry is to rought for nice people like him (he was right... the industry have being...just bad to him).
Minho have said that he is not the type of leader that put himselt above others but he put himselft in the middle, and make them stronger.
Onew was Taemin first vocal coach, and Onew ALWAYS defend Taemin no matter what, even against the other members, he is just his baby. And usually get what he wants from Onew.
There some info that he suffers from depression as well, and what happened to jonghyun really hit him so hard. He really needed help. In their 10 anniversary promotions Key mentioned that he need to eat and gain weight again, as well as sleep more and stop worrying so much. So is clear from Key comments that Onew was still suffering really bad during their promotions.
It always remind me on a live they did reponding to fans questions there was a fan that said "Onew till when you will keep being this pretty", and the member just stsrted going all loud "ohhhhhhh" , they keep trying to make him happy.
He did said he had troubles crying for jonghyun before reciving psycological help, cuz he felt guilty.
ONEW is very intelligent, he was one top student, and his joke and comments are some times difficult to understand, jonghyun was usually the one that understood him the most and knew exactly what he was refering to most of the time.
When they were asked in an individual interview if they would married a memeber if they were girls who would be , Jonghyun said he would married ONEW. And Onew said he would married JONGHYUN.
Now he have said tatt he started to reading more again, and he is searching for the meaning of life.
He also became a Christian acouple of years ago,(he was not before) and said that he had find strength from it.
He have gone through a lot... he nearly lost his voice and had to recive surgery in his vocal cords, he was very scared and after it he could not speak for like a month...and was not sure if he would be abbly to sing againg, thank God the surgery went well and he can sing even better than before.
He have won as well a prize (voted by all the idols) as the best leader.

Thanks for the reaction. Shinee was the first to document dance practices now it's commonly done. Fyi Taemin was 15 when they debuted. The mv was posted 3 years after the actual debut in 2008. I highly recommend the dance versions of Juliette and Love Like Oxygen from this period as they are even stronger performances. Thanks again.

He is a fashionista, fashion designer(designed/styled most of the concert outfits), content producer, song writer , actor and editor.
He was raised by his grandmother , and he loved her soo much! , it was really heartbreaking when she passed away.
He also knowns how to cook well, he even had a cooking show.
He have a very particular personality. He and the members admitted that he used to me more selfish when he was younger, but he had became more considerate with time.
He is very sassy, savage, straight foward, he will say exactly what he thinks, he does not like to sugar coat anything. And does not like other tell him what to do but some how he does as Onew said, he like to act cute with Onew, that usually buy him what he wants.
Some times fans call him "Onew princess" LOLLL.
He is also sensitive and can cry easily.
When they were aprendiz he had a big fight with Minho since he told him to wash the dishes, but Key refuse to. The fight got bigger since Minho could not understad Key since he speaked satori (korean dialect) they did not fix things till they debuted.
They are basically the definition of "Oposite atrack each other".He have said that Minho is his best friend and when he have something that really bothers him he just wait till he see Minho and talk about it with him, he said that Minho dont give advice but simple listen to his worries and always said he will support whatever he decide.
Also once they had a party in Key house, he just fall a sleep and Minho cleaned his house and left a note on his table saying "Kibum(his real name) I love you" , and he keep saying how sweet Minho is.
They also always join force to tease and/or scold Taemin , lol.
He also said in his last show (cooking show) that Minho was so important in his life that he dont think they can ever be apart.

*Jonghyun* he was the main vocalist of SHINee, his nickname was "Bling Bling" , basically he shined.
He was not only a signer, but song writer, producer, author, radio host. He was known of one if not the best vocalist in the kpop industry.
He was a Women rights and LGTBIQ rights supporter, and did not cared about the hate he recived for it (Korea a very conservative society).
He wrote like 40% of SHINee song, several song for other artist like Taemin, EXO, LEE HI, and IU.
He had a strong character, very savage, he most of the time was a mood maker and talked the most on interviews and most of the time was confused as leader, that basically make him became Onew right hand when it comes to lead. Onew always said he could not do it with out him, but Jjong always said Onew could do anything with out him just fine!
He was very sensitive as well, and cried a a lot in concerts.
He had a radio show called "BLUE NIGHT", he talked alot about several things, including his depression (I will just talk about what he said), He said he had seasonal depression , and winter was difficult for him. He also talked that he had a difficult childhood and intentionally tried to get rid of all the photos and memories of it, have economic problems (in his childhood), his father did not supported his dream of becoming a singer, and he was ambidexter (he could use both left and right hand very well) cuz the moment his father notice he was left handed basically forced him to use the right hand.
In the end he was just not close to his father, to the point that his members (Onew, key, minho and Taemin) became head mourners of his funeral as males( head of the family) representatives of the family, and they took care of everyting related to the funeral rituals. But loved his mom and sister very much.
He was #1 Taemin supporter, and called himselft "Taemint fan club president", he helpped Taemin with his vocals and gave him some of his songs (well Taemin nagged him for it ), he once postponed his own concert in korea to attend Taemin first solo concert in japan.
He was scared of Key birthday cuz always asked for expensive presents and even created a song about it ,Lol.
Had a "Tom and jerry" relationship with minho they were always funny together, but Minho was always there for him.
He loved his members as well and have said that the only way he EVER be seprated from them is them being physically apart for ever.

I’ve been waiting for you to hear this because to this day it is my FAVORITE SHINee song. There are some that I abso love but NONE can dethrone Queen “Replay” ( Tho my second favorite “Excuse me Miss” [especially the Live from SHINee world tour2015] and “View” are my top two contenders for its spot)! I had a STRONG feeling you’d like the song and I JUST KNEW I’d see that smile on your face! So much stuff too unpack but maybe I’ll save some for later on down the road so...
The B2K comparison has been made a lot by many of a reactor and its pretty spot on. In my opinion when KPop smashed its way into the West with Psy’s “Gangnam Style” (circa 2012) my first thought was “I love this song but SHINee should’ve and could’ve had that same achievement back in ‘08 if only given the chance. I really wished SM Town (their Entertainment co.) would’ve pushed harder into the western Market. Admittedly I also thought the same of BigBang who were under the same label as Psy and were having a very good 2012 but we talkin’ bout SHINee so back to the then dubbed ( by the media) “Princes of KPop”.
Yes. This was one of the first Dance practice videos and for THAT TIME PERIOD the view count was phenomenal. You know with SM town it’s either hit or miss. They are known for having excellent singers Like Super Junior, SNSD (better known as Girls Generation),SHINee, Exo and NCT( If you have not already, please react to SuperJunior. They originally started off with 13 members and the band is active to this day. You should definitely check out the song “Lo Siento” featuring Afro-Latina Singer Leslie Grace. They (SuJu) are very good at making that incredible mix of Korean, English and Spanish type songs) but at the same time they are also known for having horrible techniques to teaching their pre-debut trainees. You can look up some of the stories yourself. Anyway, I heard that with SHINee that they were either not supposed to debut or they were supposed to debut later but SM were using them to record guide tracks and somewhere along the line they realized that these boys were ready right then. I don’t think any of the boys had even finished high school yet and Taemin was no older than 15 which I’m sure you can clearly see. It always makes me laugh when I see him trying to hit on the Noona in the video (the songs about SHINee’s relationship with an older woman or in Korean she’d be referred to as a Noona, which means older sister But can be used affectionately towards an older female friend/acquaintance just like the way the word “Oppa” (older brother) can be used by woman affectionately towards an older male friend/acquaintance). I don’t know how true the story is but SM town definitely made a good decision debuting them because man oh man it seemed like they blew up overnight. They certainly could have given any Western artist a run for their money for sure. The Choreo for this is phenomenal which is another thing SM town is good at. My fave moves @4:03 AND @4:48 (🎶 and I think I’m going to hate it girl🎶😁 I love that part too but I actually love Onew’s hand movements @4:19 when he says she’s his MVP). And EVERYONE loves @5:55 when Taemin basically says YES BITCHES I’M LEE TAEMIN, THE MAIN DANCER😂 as he swims thru our collective tears of Joy & “uwus” straight into the hearts of Shawols everywhere! I think I mentioned on my last comment that if you thought BTS was a family then you would definitely think that of SHINee as well. And this dance solo of Taemin’s was comedic fodder for his hyungs for quite some time. They would all dramatically breaststroke to make fun of him but no worries, TAEMIN is one savage Maknae. He always gets them back and it’s usually on live TV. What am I saying?!?! They are one shameless bunch😂 They will air all types of dirty laundry on whatever show they go on. They may be one of the funniest idol groups out there. They are all savage and all very shady especially MY bias, Kim Kibum better known as Key. For example, every Shawol knows the fact that the day that Key entered the dorms he got into an heated argument with Minho. Minho told Key to wash the dishes. Tho they are both the same age Minho had seniority at SM but Key did and still does NOT like being told what to do and asked Minho the Satoori (dialect) version of “ARE YOU ON CRACK?!?” which Minho took offense to of course. 🤣🤣
They all love each other very much which made losing Jonghyun so much more unbelievable and made watching his brothers at his funeral Damn near unbearable. Btw... thanks for referring to them as “five” while you were praising them. Believe it or not Many a hater had resentment towards them for continuing on without Jonghyun . Some even said they were using his death to their advantage. That very thought is...disgusting.
Moving on, I think you’re doing an awesome job with this band. My advice is to follow the path you’re already on... chronological. Also maybe try some different material like some TV appearances... actually one in particular that was awesome was the Rollercoaster dance challenge they did on “weekly idol”. Basically the 4 boys dance to their song “Good Evening” (which has chairs for props) while the producers speed up, slow down or leave as is, the song. They also did the 2x speed dance challenge to their super fast EDM song “EVERYBODY“ . Which proved what great dancers they truly are and also showed once again Minho’s crazy competitiveness and temper😂 Speaking of which, you can react to Knowing Brothers (Called Men on a Mission on Netflix) “SHINee Minho got angry at result of coke drinking battle” it’s episode 150 I think. It has English subs but honestly even if it didn’t you’d understand cuz they are just that animated and totally nuts!!😁 Also, their Live 2015 world tour stage of “Excuse me Miss” is legit one of the best performances I’ve ever seen and that’s saying a lot because I’ve seen BTS live and I have watched Big Bangs stages countless times and they are showmen! They leave it ALL on the stage! SHINee didn’t have any special effects or props (except a phone booth) no explosions or fireworks, no light show, no crazy costumes or concepts and only two back up dancers but like I said, til this day it’s one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. OK. I’m gonna stop here because my thumbs hurt and my face hurts cuz I’m smiling while texting. SHINee man, they just do that to me... that’s how I knew you’d be definitely smiling too! Btw.... He is called "Magic hands" cuz he lose or broke things most of the time, they keep him OUT of the kitchen, since he does not know how to cook and with his magic hands anything could happen.

*Minho* his nickname is "flaming charisma" or "Frog prince" , because of his look and his cheesy lines (he some times really speak like a hero of a movie). He is the Main rapper, dancer and vocalist in the group. He had also participated in song writting and usual write his own raps. He is an actor as well and had patticipated in a lot of dramas and also in movies.
He is extreamly competitive and always want to win.
His father is a famous soccer (football) manager in korea, so Minho is very in to sports like soccer ,basketball , swimming and he is good at all of them. He really like any physical activities, and work out in the gym mostly everyday (according to the members).
When they debuted he was mostly silent cuz he was shy, however with time he showed his real personality and he is very LOUD.
He is a sweet heart, he support ALL the members activities and always make time to be with them in whatever they are doing. He call him selft a SHAWOL (SHINee fan) as well.
He is the emotional backbone of the group, and the "glue" he never shows his emotions most of the time and always tried to be the "ROCK" for the other members in emotional breakdowns.
He is like a big brother to Taemin and scold him a lot, he had became best friend with Key and he is always the first one to notice when something is going wrong with him also it seems he have access to his house (knows the password), and have being seen severals times taking care of Key dogs.
He always had an eye on Onew and lived with him for 11 years, till Onew enlisted.
He used to biker with jonghyun a lot, since he is tall and jjong was really small and make fun of it, LOL.
But they just liked to play with each other ,and Minho was his #1 fan not only as singer but as radio host, he listened, called and even went to the radio station several times as surprise even in his last show .
It was said that he was the first one to get to the hospital when he got the news...
Since he is the strongest emotionally speaking he was the lead in the funeral procession.
He is also GREAT with kids, he really love them.
And have said that he want to grow old as SHINee.

SHINee at its core is a very R&B group. No matter the style they use for their title tracks, majority of their albums would always be filled with R&B jams.
I’m not sure if this is the first dance practice video that got released. I remember TVXQ releasing a dance practice for Purple Line around the same time as this too.
Also this dance practice for Replay went viral because fans would use the audio for other songs and the choreography still worked perfectly, so the Replay choreo went viral for being the “magic choreo.”

@@KSS352 I totally desagree with you, may be you dont like cute things. For me "Hello" , is a great song, just because is cute does not mean is bad, I like Minho voice specially in the last part and as usual jonghyn was excellent.
Also Let new fans experience all SHINee faces, ,"Ringdingdong" does not have a great lyrics, but still is one of the most loved song by fans.

We are allowed to disagree and I'm totally okay with any Shinee song being reacted to! Sorry if it came across in a bad way as I certainly didn't mean it that way. I just meant it didn't age as well as some other of Shinee's songs. It's a song of its time and that is not a bad thing!

I'm glad you reacted to this rare dance practice. This is the song that got me into Kpop back in 2011. I remember kicking myself for not getting into Kpop sooner (despite my late sister's best effort to convert me - Allah bless her soul). I loved it so much that I memorised the Korean and Japanese version of this song. Somewhere along the way, however, SHINee started releasing songs that didn't really resonate with me, so I became more of an EXO fan because of their R&B repertoire. But I will always have a special place for these boys in my heart, especially my first bias Taemin :) After Jonghyun (pink pants) passed away, there was a period where it was too difficult for me to watch SHINee MVs (and I would consider myself a "casual" Shawol at that time) because of how special they are to me. I still get mixed emotions when I see any vids or hear his songs/songs he wrote - but I choose to celebrate his life rather than the circumstances of his passing. I hope you'll have time to dive deeper into SHINee's new and older discography. They're an amazing group.

While this is older (Replay is the debut song, 2008) but Lucifer 's (2010 comeback) dance practice is the one that started the dance practice trend.

When you do your research on Kpop you'll find Seo Taiji and the Boys the fathers of the modern music in Korea. He mixed Rock, Heavy Metal with RNB at times. Rain is also an artist that is mostly admired by all the 2nd and 3rd generation Kpop idols. You hear a lot of soul in his voice plus his awesome moves. By the way he also acts and even was the lead on Ninja Assassin. I know you'll be blown away by his performance. Also I think SM hired the best choreographers from the U.S. to work their best artist like SHINee and Super Junior to name a few. If I'm not mistaken (can't remember his name) SHINee worked with Michael Jackson's choreo. Please take a look at Rain's videos. Thanks 😃
i know about Seo Taiji and the Boys. and that is correct they bared the cross for what became Kpop later on. they went through much criticism from the older Koreans and grabbed the attention of the youth. but their music was really hard to categorize because it changed dramatically a lot of the times. but i will say this...the opened the ears and minds of the S. Korean people and it made them appreciate the music we make here. that is why the young generation became aware of the music genres you hear in Kpop. let's not forget Seo Taiji brought rap there to. their group started with a 90s rap style that blew up for them first.

The reason for confusion was because the Replay MV from what I heard had to be reuploaded... SHINee debuted March 25, 2008 and Replay was their debut song... Love them guys... 💖 It's going to be a long wait until they come back since 3 of them are in the military now and Taemin has yet to follow... 😭
