The product was from Plantra, unfortunately they have since discontinued the cage we were using for the project. For shrubs, a cage works much better than a tube because that cutting will need to expand its many limbs but will be restricted due to the tube.
so its just 2 species of willow... Does the landowner plant food outside the pockets of bedding? That looks like it was one heck of a project. I cant wait to get started on mine. I love planting trees and cuttings.
There is a 1.5 Acre food plot just outside of this bedding area that we separated from the ag fields using silky willow shrub lines and planted them strategically so the customer can access their stands also.
No need to water the cuttings if you get good spring rainfall. Only time you would need to water the cuttings is if your area doesn't receive normal rainfall, you are using Red Osier Dogwood, or your soil is sandy!
What is the brand of the green tree guards? They look pretty easy to install
