I also like the older covers! I've read Red Mars read it twice. I also read the other two, but they seemed more worldbuildy. Though I enjoyed some of the arcs there, such a Sax, but more of the 100 die now of old age and such.

I read the whole trilogy + the various spinoffs, and more of Robinson’s works, and it’s the most thought provoking future representation of all the sci-fi I know. This guy is dealing with issues a thousand years from now in the most realistic perspective I can imagine. This dude KNOWS about chemistry, physics, and geology, as well as psychology and geopolitics. It’s aaaaaaallll there. Every aspect of every issue is considered in incredibly great detail. The images my mind made up during the reading are popping into my day to day life constantly. If I was president of a country I would include this saga in the literature courses that students attend: it’s the fresh air minds need in these turbulent times.

Read the trilogy maybe 12-15 years ago and liked it. Now I have really stepped up my reading and I will read Red, Green and Blue again for sure. Quite sure I will like them even more now, being more of an adult and more into SF.

I’ve still have to read the other two instalments. I hopefully can get to them next year.

8:52 yeah Anne was irritating as hell! Sax took soem time to develop, i think it's either end of 2 or 3 that he gets epic.

Read all 3 last year. It's maybe my favorite trilogy. It's funny what you say about the cliche climate change disaster, because in book 2 something zesty happens...
