Coming into a crisis from the longest economic expansion and you have no saving? So where is the money gained in the longest economic expansion gone? The answer is the longest economic expansion was based on debt not on production of goods and saving. You need a crisis with no intervention from the Fed to rebalance your economy. You can no longer kick the can down the road. It is over and you don’t see it.
I think you pretty much nailed it..... the longest economic expansion in history was fueled by Billions after Billions in QE and Gov't Deficits, which.... if subtracted OUT for the last decade meant economic GDP actually contracted over the period !

Some people making twice as much on unemployment than they were when they were employed is a problem? That shows a bigger problem. How the hell is anyone making $300 or $350 a week as the norm ok? You can't buy or take out a loan for a car, travel anywhere, buy a house, or rent a decent house, or pay for health insurance. We need to resort our priorities.

The people have had their freedoms thrashed under new health regulations that have closed most small business and put tens of millions out of work. Separated couples married for 20 to 40 or more years denying visits while placing cov infected in homes causing many infections and deaths then even if 60 or more of the home was exposed still denied visits to protect the very people already exposed. Mandated the population all shop at the large stores with limited hours insuring those stores were always crowded to "reduce" spread. Made many stay home banned travel. Now they still spread fear but most elderly already have been exposed so the death rates will continue to fall. The early ways of treatment and slow testing and misdiagnosis meant many with stress or panic attacks were not treated right led to more. infected more deaths. Americans should wake up to what we have lost and who won in the greatest plot ever to do away with human rights.
