I did this but I ran an independent wire out to the positive side of the Flamethrower coil to the ignition switch then just used the pink resistor wire that goes out to the positive also
Super clean! Great car. And I think the 289 is an underrated engine. My parents' 61 Galaxie had a 289 and if it could power a larger car like that, it is plenty of power for a 65 pony.
Hi, I notice you have repainted the Air Cleaner. Could you please tell me what colour that is. I have tried to find the name of the paint colour but cant seem to locate it anywhere. thanks
Looking so stunning Brian, you must just love cruising in it, done a lot of work on it and I am super impressed, keep it up and stay safe 🇺🇸🇬🇧
I just love this video, I'm happy you're enjoying the car
Nice bro, clean
oh gee, the rally pack looks tight, but man i feel you about having to tie into the ignition.

It's actually a 69 302. I just dressed it up like a 65 289
I have used 2 - 1" black plastic spacers and both of them cracked, one cracked in 3 places after 3,000 miles. I which'd to a 1" Alumni.

It's not a 65 color, but I like it. Duplicolor universal gold
Love it!
What does the flap in the snout with the spring do?
The only reason I know about it is because a bolt broke. I extracted the bolt. And I discovered the internal parts of the cold air intake intriguing.
