Not generally a fan of cruisers but can't help admiring how good you've got her looking and running in such a short space of time mate - nice work - a lucky new owner whoever it turns out to be! 👍
Beautiful ride Nat. I've been riding a Vstar 650 for 3 yrs.and it is a great commuter bike. 50 mpg. With carbs, air cooling and shaft drive it's simple and rock solid reliable, that is key for commuting. I have the Classic model, with very large fenders, and foot boards. Hard to watch you all on the wrong side of the road.
Enjoying the ride & the sights ,is always better on a sunny day. That'll fly out the nackers yard 😉. Best get yourself into a few shops and see what floats your boat. Enjoy.
I love mine, it is what it is, like you say has a decent turn of speed for it's size, agree your idle seems a little high, they do have a habit of speedos failing over time, I use a gps speedo on my phone to double check. Had to take engine bars off mine, grinding at every corner
Great video Sir. I am near my DAS hopefully and I do consider this model for the reasons you did mentioned in the video. One thing make me wonder if they ever came with any fuel level indicators on it. Regards Antoni
Got the same bike {even same year} myself. My only complaint is the "non biker wanna-be biker" .....and the inevitable ..... "Nice bike, how big is it" "Err, 650 mate" "Hmph ....is that all" I now just say .... "Oh, big enough mate" BTW ....Great review, I agree 100%.
I managed to find a rather good condition 98 xvs650 the other month for 2500 otr. It is such a shame that people bobber these bikes, they look bloody nice stock imho
Gettin my bike license , starting lessons in the next few weeks... never even ridden a bloody motorcycle, but I think this looks like a nice option for my first bike? What would you advise? Great video
I am in process of DAS and I do recommend it. My problem is as a HGV driver with 1.5 half experience I am having a load of stupid habits. Otherwise being on motorbike during the lesson was best thing that happen to me in recent years

It's just a nice ride mate. Effortless!

It is certainly a big comfortable beast.

I can't remember mate. You get very used to checking the mileage on bikes though.

I am split as I like both. I am glad that I didn't bobber this one though.
I like Brigestones as well
There are much cheaper options but I don't like compromising on something so safety critical.

Great ride out Nat in the sun looks like you had ball, you'll be in trouble with the wife looking at the young ladies buddy lol 😆 😜 😉 .
Suns out, legs out!
🏍👍
💪👍
Do you have a BiPhone perhaps?
No idea what you mean mate?
@@NatsNackersYard Your “phones voice male and female!
By the way, loved the vid, I’m thinking of getting one next year!👍
Lovely bikes mate..
Like the look of the bike but it does not sound good. Sounds like it revs to high on idle.
It's an old upload mate but I thought the same.
keep it for comuting
Regrettably the sale of this one will fund the eventual commuting bike which will eventually need to be ULEZ compliant (which Ru isn't).
Do all driver in England ride the brakes? Geeze!
Yes. Especially on an unfamiliar bike with brand new tyres!
Pinner…
Yarp
She seems to be idling to high.
It was idling a little high but the upload was over a year ago
sounds like the choke was on the whole time
