Amazing why hasn't this got more views? Been here twice, fantastic bit of skateboard history. Lots of love from Australia.

So sick. Never forget first seeing the shop in 98 and realising it was somehow the shop Lance went into. The roof boards then were INSANE. Early World & Blind paradise. Thanks for making this.

I don't remember the first time I stepped into the hallowed ground that is Rip City Skates. Having lived in Santa Monica around the early 2000s, I got to frequent the shop often. What a cool environment, a great place to pop into and share some skate history, learn some skate history, and talk story. Jim Bob is deeply missed, I wish him well out in Colorado. Congratulations to Rip City for the induction into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. They allowed me to include an old photo of mine on their wall. What an honor.

I was driving by and knew I had to stop!, what’s crazy is I just snagged a Reynolds Baker board at the goodwill for 10$ down the street and knew I had to go in and grab some trucks n wheels. The legends set it up for me !!! Just added an awesome story to my life! sk8orDie!

Last time I was in RIP City, Bill was super grumpy with me. I still love those guys. Maybe next time I'll bring coffees or edibles with me to hand out? 😅

I wish I knew about this skate shop years ago unfortunately I didn't live anywhere close by and one of my customers today recommended that I go check them out as both of us were talking in reminiscing how about skating. I was working literally a block away so I figured why not but damn I wish I knew about this place years ago so I plan on bringing my nephews here if they want to build a skateboard I'll definitely sponsor them and will definitely make Rip City our skate shop.
