I am viewing from Vancouver, Canada and I can say Nairobi is truly a world class city in the big leagues. What is needed now is to get rid of matatus, put in place rapid transit, decentralize employment, and upgrade water delivery to all ares.

great job.. i lived in nairobi from primary school to end of my education between 1972 to 2003 september and relocated to UK IN 2003. I had the privilege of living in kilimani along rose avenue and later at lavington along mbaazi avenue.. them ole odume road..before moving to muthaiga then kitisuru and lastly south c ..when i moved out of home to stayed on my own..eventually also lived at nbi west on kodi road after i got married to my current wife and got my first two boys here in a three bedroom house.. i know nbi like the back of my hand because i worked in the security industry for many years...your videos are giving me lots of nostalgic images and many happy memories. i have been back home only twice each time for tragic events like matangas for loved ones and never had time to revisit and explore my old places of fun and residence, i plan to put that right on my next visit. i went to school in westlands then jamu and upper hill.

Yes. The biggest slum in Nairobi starts just behind the Matatu9bus)nterminal , one streetvaway from the poshest hotels in Nairobi. The vChurch of Kenya (Episcopalian) runs a co-operative where men carve wooden animals for the tourist trade . There is a 400%mark-up in the Safari Lodges. The Church also runs a weaving factory for women to earn a decent wage. Fifteen years ago , the Churc=h started a Theatre group and a Music Group .for poor children. The group are now on Kenyan TV.

I lived and worked in a Kenyan International Boarding School 20 years ago and it is thrilling to see the progress that has been made . I even taught the children of Uhuru Kenyatta and his brother who were students at the swchool.

Great stuff man! Have got a recommendation to make though. If you would add exact years when those beautiful old structures were constructed, for example the Macmillan Library ( 5th June 1931), and tell some brief history connecting to the contemporary Nairobi, then you would potentially position yourself on to a wider audience. Nevertheless, great job.
