I have this really cool visual timer that I got from Amazon. It isn't digital, but you spin a dial to set the minutes. It has a different color to show how many minutes are left. It has a huge magnet on the back so I put it on the whiteboard. It looks more like a clock face. My kids ask me to turn it on when they have work time. I use it all the time.
Yes the hand santizer holders do work for the doorbell. You have to stretch it a little to get it on. I hang mine on my lanyard it works great. I would also put strong magnets on the list.
I got some whiteboards that are also clipboards from Amazon two years ago and they are still going strong. I love them because I don't have to store both clipboards and whiteboards in my small room. They also aren't easy for students to write on with pencils like the brown particle board kind.
I like using lamps rather than overhead lighting in my room. My favorite new toy is a lamp remote from Amazon. I can turn on/off all my lamps in seconds.
I teach in Florida and got some of these from Facebook Marketplace 😊 Saved me a lot of $$. We use a Promethen that replaced smart boards and comes with tools like a timer. Love the magnetic things you showed and the desk hooks. I got some smaller ones for the kiddos to hang their ID tags on them. Have a great school year 😊
A personal amplifier. I have an autoimmune disease that can affect my voice and this has been a lifesaver. I use it all day everyday... it's part of how I manage my classroom. Amplifying your whisper voice is surprisingly. helpful.
I bought a clicker for presenting while teaching. This was honestly the best thing I bought (am currently a trainee teacher) The clicker allowed me to move around the classroom freely while checking on the children, the children were also desperate to be the one to click to the next slide using the clicker. Could be used as a reward to let your students click to the next slide.
Ok, but what is a good one?! I have purchased 3 over the years and they haven't worked with Google Slides. I would like to add Canva, but I suppose they aren't meant to work with Canva? Would love to know a good one!
PVC glue! Especially if you are using rubber inflatable flexible seating like yoga balls or donuts! I've had kids pop or cut them open and the PVC glue holds up the fix! For me its a must-have for my seating!
Good to know. I have had several spring leaks and my husband used patch kits, but that usually only holds up for a little while and then I have to throw the yoga ball away. Thanks for the tip!
Another idea for magnetic storage is work bench or tool storage! I got some from Harbor Freight but I'm sure Amazon has some. I got a glove holder for my tissues and a shelf for sanitizer and lotion. They are awesome on the side of my bookshelf and the magnets are STRONG.
Great video! Thank you for the suggestions. I have a digital timer that's magnetic & I assign a student to set the timer. This is a classroom job so I never have to get up and set the time. Hope that helps.
I got 2 wireless doorbells that have different chimes. That way I have 3 remotes and can change up the noises! I have 1 at my desk, 1 at my small group table and 1 at my standing desk.
This is a weird one..Mr. Clean sponges. They have been the only thing that worked in our room. We laminate work sheets for our students in our special education class. The regular dry erase erasers would just move the ink around and it always looked dirty. We used them wet the first time to deep clean these daily worksheets. After that, we just used them dry. It worked so much better than the regular erasers.
An essential for me is a large magnetic eraser just for the teacher to use! It stays on the whiteboard when you don't need it and erases everything you need in only one or two swipes! They cost a little more, but they last longer and erase better than small erasers, so it's totally worth it! There are a lot of different brands and styles so you can pick whatever works best for you :)
I bought the MoKo brand magnetic dry erase marker holder (divided version). A larger one for the front whiteboard and a smaller one for the side. Store the markers on one side/eraser on the other. Magnets are strong and they stayed put all year no problem. I’m returning to the classroom this year after being an itinerant teacher. A laminator is top of my wish list. But definitely am now thinking about the use of a doorbell.
I use a wireless mouse instead of a presenter. And an iPad instead of a document camera because I can write on the iPad using a stylus and wander around the room while I do it.
i got metal heavy duty hooks and put on the supports on tables. they look like an S with a little lock . kids put backpacks there. water bottles just go in side pocket.
A recommendation to add to your wish list and good for small group a voice recording button for communication to give your students instruction and they can work independently.
I’m not a teacher, but I’ve heard a lot of teachers that I do watch say that they use the bath and body Works hand sanitizer that it works perfect for that
Not Amazon, but I just bought the cutest doorbell holder with my name embroidered on it on Etsy! Also, I love my wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. My computer stays at the back of the room and I have another small desk near my smart board where I keep my mouse and keyboard.
Some of the items on this list are expensive. That said, I think a better option would be to create a donors choose. No family in my school would donate something near $200 and I wouldn't feel comfortable asking. HOwever...I have gotten huge projects funded on Donors Choose. My class rug was about $700 and it was funded on there. I loooooooved my wireless presenter remote thing. Then I broke it and didn't buy another one. Lol it's only $12 i'm giong to buy another this year
@@mzzzzzzday yep! I stated some are expensive. I also stated I send this to my own family and friends as well. Just because an expensive item is on a wishlist doesn’t mean you expect someone who looks at the list to get it for you. My momma always told me “a closed mouth never gets fed!”. But if you don’t feel comfortable, by all means, don’t ask!
I use binder clips for everything. I now rarely use paper clips to hold papers. Binder clips are so much more sturdy and hold up use after use.

This sounds really cool!!
Wireless printer/copy machine for your classroom. I always need one more copy and to make it in my room is awesome!
I use a hand sanitizer holder from Bath and Body Works for my doorbell. Fits perfectly!
This is an genius idea! I am so doing this!! ☝☝
Yes to wireless presenter, I have used it for 3 years now and I love it. I think document cameras should be on this list.
I bought one but haven't used it yet!! I will use it afer reading these comments!! 💖💖
The wireless presenter is awesome! Just tried one last year. Won’t teach without it now!!!
So trying mine after reading all these comments!!!

One thing that I use everyday is a half- apron that has pockets. I use it to hold our school “Wildcat Bucks,” erasers, stickers, etc.

Yes! I have one as well!
can you give a link to one? Thanks.
I totally agree! This was my first year with one, and it is a game changer. I am surprised at how much less energy I expend when teaching.
I agree!

I haven't used the one I bought a year ago!! I plan on changing that this year! :)
The fact that you haven’t used a wireless presenter… I am mind blown! 🤯 😅 You will love it. I can’t teach without mine.

Indoor recess activities (as a new teacher I need things that will keep them happy inside when recess outside is not an option) -uno, connect 4, jenga
love these! 💖💖
Your eyebrows looks so good and your hair too!

Omg so glad I came to the comments! I work special ed and always struggle erasing my laminated pages. Good to know magic eraser does the trick!

Hello! Super intrigued by this idea. Do you just wirelessly screen share your iPad to your smartboard?
@@teachingwithcarrlee2448 Apple TV it’s connected to my projector.
wireless presenter is a must have! I love mine!
The no bug slug nightlight is great when doing small group and do not want interruptions
I use Minnie Mouse ears headband. When that is on, I am not available.
Slideshow clicker is a game changer! Before that, I carried my wireless mouse on a clipboard and that worked too!
The clear pockets are a great idea!
I love my wireless presenter best thing I have ever purchased.

Magnetic hooks and magnetic clips
scrub daddy!! The kids -asking- to clean their desk is mind blowing.

@@LynRoman thank you!! I’ve lost 20 pounds in the last 6 months! Feeling strong 💪🏼
My friend keeps her mouse in her pocket and uses her leg to click through. Our new boards are not compatible with all presenters.
