Fun Fact : I once had a cracked DS version of the game on some special cracked games cartridges named R4s, they were basically cartridges that looked like normal ones, but there could be multiple games on one cartridge, plus I never experienced any problems with anti-piracys of said games (I had roughly, Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum (even tho I couldn't trade my Pokémons to one version to another), Mario Kart DS, GTA Chinatown Wars, Mario et Luigi Partners in time, Mario Party DS (yes there was a DS version of MP) and New super Mario bros DS, out of 140 I don't really remember). Now why would I talk about this here? Because when you pressed B in the Game selection menu, you would find a Fraud (standing for cheats) section, were you could modify many things, by checking some squares, Huang's speed, other characters speed(max version of the cheat made you Walk the rough equivalent of a bike) or even modify the cars speed (to a point where the map couldn't load lol!) there's also the cheats that could be made in-game, but you didn't required to do the hardcore combination (I personally enjoyed explosives pistol boolets and I recommend players to use the akimbo pistol, as they have the fire rate of a wasting AA gun, compared to pistol and or the revolver , and now they have the damage output of it! There was also a cheat for health and armor, note that it was not just health/armor refill, it was like some sort of semi invincibility, and a cheat for infinite ammo, (the thing is there was another variant of the cheat named 'infinite ammo/rapidfire', and basically, additional to the infinite ammo, this one technically added 'sleight of hand' AKA light speed fast reload, that... basically just turned the first shotguns (the one you find in police cars) into a recoil less lead flamethrower, but with a better bullet velocity, BUT that also counts for enemies! Also the other shotguns had the same effect but clearly slower, like the Shotgun 1 was comparable to an A10 Thunderbolt/Warthog, for the sound saturation, and fire output but the two others were like the assault rifle, probably because they're two shots. Did I also tell you that the Rocket Launcher did the same? Welp yes, that's Over dang powered,but It has the Carbine firerate, so, it's not THAT violent!), the was also a cheat that allowed the Y command AKA dodge roll to make the player go through every building and or walls and even jump! But if you go too high you get tp'd back to ground. And last but not least a cheat that turned the bulletproof patriot into a chopper at the BOABO car sales and it was maneuverable! Meaning there was maybe a mission wher you where supposed to control it? Anyways that'll be enough, I thin' I talked WAY too much about it and now I think the CEO of Rockstar anti-piracy is going to be as unefficent as the CEO of GTA Online Update system so I think I might be safe. I'm not talking about other games, I'm done tapping my screen for 30 mins Post Scriptum : the chopper controls are just like on GTAO but instead of the triggers it's Y/B(not like XBOX remember, it's a DS!) to go up and down

I remember the first time I discovered that there were cheats codes in the game on DS, it was my brother who also had the game who told me about it I didn't believe it, until the moment. where he does it in front of me, I was over-excited, I was spending my time doing them and redoing them 😂

Personally, i abhorred this game before (Ostensibly due to the fact that i didnt got used to over the top perspective of view.), but suddenly one day i played this game once again, and astonishingly loved the gameplay. Still, its undeniable that the game itself had some frustrating parts, especially the racing mini games.
It's just simply underrated and aged not that well compared to other games in the series in graphic wise (ex. LCS or VCS) or the gameplay wise (the 2.5D view). I loved this game, not gonna lie. But it doesn't aged that well.
It's just outshadowed by other GTA titles for handheld consoles but that just makes it an underrated gem,people just couldn't orientate themselves to the 2.5D gameplay with cel-shaded graphics. There's just so much to do in this game,sure there are a few flaws but that doesn't mean the game is bad. The fact that VCS and LCS were masterpiece tier games doesn't stop CTW from being a masterpiece too. All the funny dialogues,good gameplay,unique drug trafficking mechanics makes this game outstanding.
