So many people fail to understand that every betrayal is absolute. They expect to betray and then be forgiven and for everything to just go on the way it always has. But for the person who has been betrayed, it's like being pushed off the edge of the world and then having to claw your way back. Coming back from that is sometimes just too overwhelming for forgiveness to be possible.
To answer the question, I may forgive them, but not immediately. It may take months even years for me forgive them. As long as they show their remorse through actions, only then may I be able to forgive them.
