Amazing video Chase! I love the shots, the storytelling and the pro tips! Beautiful job. I will buy a Razor the next week and I hope you will create more content like this, sowing your improvements and best pratices. Byeeee!!!
Sick setup, might be my next upgrade if my car shoots stay hot and coming! Thanks for sharing, that's a great system, and appreciate the unbox, setup, and test shots!
Hey man! Sick video!! I'm experiencing some micro jitters every few seconds with my razor arm even when on a smooth road. Do you have any tips or anything that can help remove these jitters and shakes?
3:48 there is definitely stabilization on that.. perhaps in camera, but still. Don't mean to sound negative lol, great video but the flares jumping around in a shot like that would annoy me 😅
I have the Tilta one don’t have any gittering anymore but that was after multiple modifications to it. Would def pick the razor and will probably switch to it soon.
I have seen some good results from the tilta as well after some modifications or vibration isolator upgrades. But, yeah you cant go wrong with this system if everything is locked down tight and secured properly!
What kit is this? I have seen a few different versions of the razor all varying in price. The one for $1700 looks like it doesn’t come with all the accessories in your video. Can you please provide links and a break down of all add on accessories? Much appreciated man. Great video!!
Just received the razor and am having jitter issues. Did you adjust the star isolator springs at all out of the box? I can't seem to figure out the issue.
hey man just wondering if by any chance u can measure the thread size of the star connector thing? the tilta system has M25 connector and from somewhere i read movmax and tilta alien shares some parts together and interchangable. cheers
nice video i am ab it confused. I was looking at Tilta hydra but when i read all the coments I am in the middle. I have z cam e2 cinema camera with different type of lenses and a zhyun crane 3s gimbal. Is it possible to connect either to hydra or Movmax razor and which do you prefer ? Thank you
What did you adjust to fix your shaky video issue on your movmax because out the box mine is very shaky and movmax hasn’t been very helpful to fix the issues
Thanks for the review. I see you're not using the GPS module with the RS2/3. Do you find it's not really necessary and the horizon shifts are workable without it?
Hey Roy, sure thing! That is a great question. I have seen people use the GPS module with success and was curious about it myself. But, I found this setup usable without it. I wasnt fighting horizon shifts. I would be very intrested to see a side by side with and without the GPS module on a car rig, to see real world how much its actually doing. And, for $69 it surely doesnt hurt. But, I would feel confident taking this rig out without the GPS and knowing that i'll capture some awesome shots. If you end up giving it a test run with the GPS for sure check back in and let me know your results!
Can the movmax system be used without the arm, just the gimbal mounted to vibration reducer, pointing towards driver. Tilta system can do it, i am confused can this system do it or not.
Hey! No, it can't. Thats one plus side to the Tilta. But, personally I would just pick up something like a hostess tray mount for the door facing in the window, and you may be able to turn the razor around on the hood to face the driver. But, for something like this there are a bunch of affordable triple suciton cup mounts on amazon. Tilta for sure is a one stop shop for all of those shots, although it may be a jack of all trades, master of none scenario. Most film equipment does one thing very well, and from my experince the movmax nails roller shots out of the box wich is more comon. Where those other shots may be more niche with better tools to suit those shots specificlly.
@@ChaseTheCreative thanks for the reply and clearing my doubts. Man movmax looks good for the price but there is no distribution of movmax in India and importing is very hard here.
Not many videos on the razor, thanks for the walkthrough, Deff buying the razor
Glad I could help!! 🙌🏻
Only 151 subscribers? This was a cool and informative video! Not really interested in doing this but it was educational!
Fantastic review dude, mind blown you're only at 280 subs, keep it up my man. Genuinely good work

Nice vid 👏🏼, I’ve been looking at the N2 & n2 mini! Movmax make some solid products by the looks!
Whaa! Nice to see you here Jed. Yeah, a speedrail attached setup would be sweet. Great vids btw! 🙌

Well done video! Imma grab one for the summer thanks 🎉
Can I ask what modifications you’ve done to it?
I’m considering this one as well! Great demo on the movmax!
Great video brother. Very helpful!
This review is really pro. If you'd make these type of videos every month at least, you would be a known channel quick.
Well done for the informative review! Very helpful!
Thanks so much! :)
Subscribed and definitely copping the movmax

Great video man
Just received the razor and am having jitter issues.
Did you adjust the star isolator springs at all out of the box?
I can't seem to figure out the issue.
it's a toss up! I already own the Tilta Hydra, but the Movmax looks like a fierce competitor.

Will the tilta predator mount work to attach movmax to the speed rail
No affiliate or purchase links?
This works for the RS4 Pro too right?

did you ever get this sorted? I am using the tilta hydra and its horrible. I was just about to order the movmax but your comment scared me lol
I have the tilta. To fix jitters you need the u joint set up like UA-camr nearby Adam.

Does the Razor only work with the Ronin? Can it work with the zhiyun S3 gimbal?
What is the top speed you can drive with the razor?

Great video! I wouldnt use 99% alcohol on your car as it might take your clear coat off, its a little too much in my opinion, just be careful! :)
Yo I’m in the video haha
so the movamax mini and alien mini should be the same
Waiting for the next one. Sub.
I'm a Tilta user, but someday it may change :)"
