I remember my first apprehensive trip to Dubai, lol. Probably sounded funny as well. North America caters to just folks in NA, which is why we are so limited in our view of the world and probably why we sound so "set in our ways" and not as knowledgeable about the world. Dubai on the other hand caters to an international audience and not limited to one or two countries, which is why you can experience more in a week in Dubai than you do the entire year back home. Hopefully you had a blast.
