Hello! I’m sorry to hear that your state pageant got cancelled, but the ARP is great and I really hope to see you at nationals this year! For my headshot I did not use a fan! I think it’s all about good lighting, a good photographer, and great hair and makeup! Remember you don’t have to break the bank! At the state competition if you place in the Top 5 for your state queen title or if you place in the Top 5 in any of the options you have the option to go to nationals and compete for the All-American Miss title (you would represent your city instead of your state). If your state does not have a NAM State Pageant or you are a Miss Division contestant and don't have a state pageant then you apply through the Appointed Representative Program. If you win your state title through there then you are a state queen, if you don't win you can still apply to be a city queen and compete for the All-American Miss title.
If you are a runner up to the state queens title you can apply through the ARP program which would then give you the option to purchase your city queen banner (sash)! Congratulations!

What is city queen?is it same as runner up?
