As a kid in the 60's, I had a couple of slot cars that my older brother received back in the 50's. Of all the models I ended up with, these always struck me as the sleekest and fastest looking. Thanks for bringing back a memory.
That old Jag cleaned up nicely! My dad used to drive Jaguars in the 60's & 70's, my favorite of course being his 1967 Series 1 E-Type with the 4.2 in yellow... I called it "The Banana" (I was only a kid😏).
That's some gold you found there. The XK120 is best left with the patina. Please do not try to start it. The fuel system will need to be overhauled and engine inspected before that. If it turns freely that is a good sign. I had to look away when they were cleaning leather seats with WD40! If restored and kept original it will be worth a not so small fortune. The C type replica will be a fun project. You don't have to worry about originality too much. I am guessing it is based on E type running gear.
This was an awesome trip and I’m happy to have been part of it! Can’t wait to see the C-type again
It was great having you along on the hunt! The C-type's restoration is going to be epic.
@ is it a restoration or a completion? 🤔
Score! alloy Proteus CType, wow what a gem.
So that's the one we were talking about at the show! Great find can't wait to see the progress or maybe even be a part of it.

Sorry E-Type, ain't NUTHIN sexier than an open top XK-120, with the possible exception of the XK-120 coupe. Mwah!!!
