So the real battle, until the ice hockey is developed here, is for staying in top division. Sweden has always played good, no matter how few stars they have.

The hit didn't really affect the game, but I still think it should have been at least a minor penalty for boarding! A, small compensation for a broken jaw. Best of luck in the tournament Latvija!

Hey, don't bash on an entire nation because one guy disagrees with you!! Sure every Swede thought we were gonna beat Latvija - Sweden has a good team this year, and after all - we are the reigning Olympic Champions. However, I see it as a positive thing, that some teams (like Latvija) are getting better each year. But I don't think Latvija will go much further than to the Quarter Finals. It's still a step in the right direction! =P

It was not a clean hit - a clean hit is shoulder to shoulder without your feet leaving the ice. Clearly Karsums feet left the ice and it was shoulder to back - It should have been a penelty for either: Checking from behind, charging or boarding with an extra 10min personal penalty for "dangerous" play! If the ref seen it from another perspective - it would have been a 5 minute major for charging and a misconduct. Karsums got that VS Austria showing that he is careless!
