@@adayinthelifeofa69 also, add the cream for the sauce on the pan you used to cook the chicken in. You could also remove the shrimp from the pan and add a lil tiny bit of white wine, tequila or just water to remove all that flavor from there and also add it to the sauce. Haha there is 2 type of ppl Ppl who wait for the water to boil before adding the pasta...and ppl who just put the noodles in without waiting for it to boil 🤔
Triste Locka bruh I swear I don’t even wanna watch the rest of the video after watching her do that. Like even the directions on the box say to pour the noodles into BOILING WATER. It’s supposed to be at a rapid boil. How embarrassing 😫
Aight Jenny, so I made this tonight. And I just tweaked a couple things 1) used heavy cream instead of half and half 2) used Parmesan cheese instead of mozzarella 3) cooked the chicken, then took it out to rest and then cooked the shrimp in the same pan to get that flavor! I also made the sauce in that pan after I took the shrimp out 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I made this today as well it’s soooo good I used heavy cream but didn’t do the vegetables or milk or water the heavy cream was well consistent! The seasoning for the chicken & shrimp is 💣
A few tips for cooking pasta! - bring the water to a boil, then salt the water, THEN add the pasta - don’t rinse the pasta after cooking 😩 it washes off the starches - save a bit of the pasta water to add to your sauce it not only adds flavor, but helps stick the sauce and pasta together and thickens any sauce.
Instead of rinsing your noodles, wait for your water to boil add some salt and a little bit of olive oil or whatever oil you prefer so your noodles don’t stick together or at the bottom of the pot.😘 but overall thank you for sharing this recipe looks yummy 😋❤️
Andrea Amezcua adding oil to boxed pasta is actually pointless. It only applies to fresh home made pasta. Otherwise the oil is just sitting in the water because duh OIL AND WATER dont mix lmao
Lemme find out I've been cutting green onions from the wrong end my entire life! And, make sure the water is boiling first before you add pasta. I wanna try your alfredo sauce tho!

JEN! Next time you make this before you strain the pasta save a cup of the water and then once your mixing in the cream and cheese etc you add the water and it makes the sauce really creamy and glossy! And if it gets to thick you can thin it out!!!! This looks bomb girl!
Paprika is the bomb I go ham on it when I need extra color the taste isn't overwhelming it can be a little subtle so overdoing it is fine.. some shredded parmesan cheese would've been nice in the sauce since it's saltier than mozzarella cooking the meat in the same pan is okay as long as you cook the chicken first, remove then cook the shrimp, remove cook the sauce in the same pan with all the dripping of your meats it'll give your sauce that cajun kick your meat had making your dish more flavorful.
I just found out in my cooking class that if you salt the chicken n let it sit in the fridge before cooking it it makes it super juicy! And also waiting like ten minutes after it’s cooked before cutting it keeps it juicy
Elizabeth Ayala have you ever used a stove before ? With all the gas stoves I’ve used before they all do the same, even if it’s on right, if it starts making that sound , it means gas is escaping .
I love how you don’t use great value lol like this girl I watch she has all this money for makeup, clothes...ect... but can’t buy good quality organic food
I love you Jenny, BUT there is so much in this recipe/cooking video that I would do different. 1st boil the water before you add pasta, 2- don’t rinse the pasta, 3 I would sauté the tomato and green onions (I would add garlic to it too), then add the half and half and some more of the Cajun seasoning and salt and the cheese then taste it. Once it’s ready I would add pasta and shrimp and chicken and mix and add more cheese or milk depending how saucy you want it But other than that I’m actually going to try to make this! Thanks for the idea
I always make my sauce separate from the pasta. Instead of adding a whole half and half...add 1 cup of chicken broth add more garlic, 1/2 cup of half and half, and also add parmesan cheese. You won't need additional salt....it's delish!
*_A good tip is 1st making the sauce and add cheese, chicken and shrimp and some chicken bullion salt flavor once hot then adding the pasta so it doesn't over cook on you🤤_*
Using garlic powder instead of garlic salt is way better for the sauce. Also adding a little bit of pepper, parmesan powder cheese and a little bit of that seasoning. It makes it more alfredo and flavorful. Also girl try cooking the chicken breast in butter. A whole different thing! Especially for pasta I’ll definitely try this recipe❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Pro tip cook chicken first and pasta last add olive oil to the pasta so its not sticky! Pasta only takes 9 mins max depending on how soft you like it! I made this and I was high as hell it came out so good my son loved it!

Don’t overcook your shrimp! Let it cook halfway if you decide to cook it separately first and finish it off when you are cooking your pasta with the sauce. Also, let the water boil before adding your pasta and I don’t recommend adding oil to the pasta when it’s boiling, the oil won’t let the sauce stick onto the pasta very good, even if you rinse it. Just mix it here and the when boiling so they don’t stick
Definitely make the sauce separate! And add fresh mozzarella! Not that pre shredded cheese 😫 Also some Old Bay seasoning, Asian chili powder and onion powder! Lol
Don’t rinse the chicken just pat dry with paper towels on both sides , when you rinse chicken you have a higher chance of contaminating your sink and or other things around . When you cook it all the bacteria gets off , also always use a bit of your pasta water when making your own sauces the starch in the water helps thicken your sauce .
if you rinse the pasta under water when its cooked you rinse all the pasta starch off and it can make it gummy and the little starch on the pasta makes the sauce better
Jenny I love you I really do but a lil tip on Cajun pasta I know this was your version but a true cajun pasta has .. bell peppers, onions, and garlic not tomatoes, and you always cook your shrimp last , and make your sauce separate using heavy whipping cream and mixing in cajun seasoning and butter and cheese and when it starts to thicken you add everything in and shrimp last.
Season chicken with lemon pepper and garlic salt Throw in some bell peppers purple onion and mushroom Use heavy cream instead of half n half if you like that thick sauce Once you start making the sauce is when you season it with the Cajun , dried basil .
Whenever you do pasta just save a cup of water from your pasta to marry the sauce and pasta. It’ll give it much more flavor. Instead of adding plain water at the end.

Michelle Dulaney yup! And when the water is cold and you pour them like that they stick! So yeah boiling water...cooks faster and no sticking.

Good tip! I also cook the sauce separately. Also so the cheese melts properly. On low heat and whisking it
I cook the sauce in the same pan. To get flavor from chicken and veggies I add. Let it simmer and then add the pasta and chicken.

Luci Silva with heavy cream it makes it more thicker then milky
Don’t rinse the pasta. The starch helps with flavor and sauce.
omg this makes total sense! but wont the pasta stick??
Just don’t let the pasta cook all the way , that way u can let it sit in the water for sometime if u need it too .
