I use ChatGTP to brainstorm ideas for the light novel I want to write. It's amazing. I enter ideas, the AI gives me suggestions, those suggestion spark more ideas from me, and so on. All that energy used to come up with ideas can now be used for other things
Flaw: i hv noticed that chatgpt isnt accurate. So, chatgpt is just there to tell u what u can say and how u should say it, but fact-checking and final product is ur responsibility. So, we r still at command. Just use the tool as a tool, and we r good.
Exactly, Gary is very well spoken and therefore would like be naturally apt at promp engineering. The article produced with HIS prompts may have those capabilities, but that doesn't mean the system itself inherently holds the means to do so.
I thought Google searching was a skill that would need to be taught in schools. This tech just jumped that learning curve. Prompting is the same-ish but new lasting skill. Thinking of a thesis on your own.

I asked GPT to formulate a proof of space-warp drive without the use of exotic matter. It did not disappoint, but it wasn’t revolutionary either on the subject itself. It’s revolutionary in that it’s a neural network that has reached the level of answering hypotheses.
That's cool for articles that are mostly intended just to inform, as long as the AI's output gets fact-checked 10 times over, but this *does* mean that we'll only need 5% as many article writers as we do know. And soon after that, AI will be able to come up with its own prompts, reducing the number of employed people even more.
It's just lile every other kind of technology. It helps human do more faster which makes less people needed for the same job. Just how technology made the amount of farmers needed lower this will make the amount of reporters lower

AI is actually going to become an edge over those who don’t use it at all. It takes me a lot less time to lookup suggestions and best practices for a particular question/use case with software packages that have badly structured documentation.

Hold up wouldn't that mean I can hire just a average reporter for a mediocre salary than 10 good reporter , as he wouldn't have to spend time in research and writing. So the demand to become a good reporter goes down.
Firstly that's not journalism, that's puff pieces for magazines etc. But even then, the problem is currently a magazine might employ 12 writers and 2 editors to write "puff" because even "puff" takes time. Post-AI it might only need 2 writers to enter prompts and do some additions with 1 editor to polish. Congrats on the record unemployment figures!

Literally just scheduled a months worth of social media content for my first real big time client because I’ve realized how insanely useful AI can be if you really use it correctly. I’m a photographer/videographer who has struggled to grow and stay consistent with my schedules and posting days and have never quite had the success I knew I was capable of. I’m now trying to leverage this new tool to build my own company and it’s exponentially impactful. I can’t wait for the future. If it has been trained on invalid or incorrect data on a subject (especially plausible with niche subjects. Which are less likely to have good enough and big enough datasets in training), you’re left with bogus. If the LLM is connected to a search engine for input and can print out source links like Phind does, take a look at what it cites.

chat gpt isn't up today with all news and all fact even about facts of the past. If you have a deep understanding of a given subject can see the chat gpt makes some mistakes.

The trick I do is to ask chatgpt for sources by asking it “give me something I can google to prove that the fact xyz that you gave me is true”
